A road in Chennai where late legendary Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam resided was renamed after his name on the singer’s fourth death anniversary. The singer passed away after contracting COVID in 2020. Fans and Audience still remember and feel sad for the singer’s death. They are now appreciating the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin for honouring the Singer this way on social media platforms.
SP Balasubrahmanyam is not only known for his singing but also for his dubbing, anchoring and acting roles. The Singer became a sole reason for many chartbuster albums and blockbuster hits. In a career spanning more than 4 decades, the singer sang over 40,000 songs in many languages across the country. The singer left a lasting impression on audience this way. He was also awarded a Padma Vibhushan following his death year.
The Singer’s son, SP Charan thanked the Tamil Nadu Government for taking this step as well. He said that he was grateful for the Government for granting their wish of renaming the road after their father’s name.
