Story:

A love-struck pair in a dance troupe unintentionally causes the sudden death of an arms dealer’s son. His team follows the couple to a rifle club in Wayanad. The couple’s cousin, a Film Hero, joins the club members. The rest of the narrative shows how the members of the Rifle Club face the arms dealer and his men through their gunfire.

Dileesh Pothan and Anurag Kashyap received the most screen time, showcasing their excellent performances. In their respective roles, Prashanth Murali, Darshana Rajendran, Vani Vishwanath, Suresh Krishna, Surabhi Lakshmi, Vineeth Kumar, Vishnu Agastya, and Hanumankind deliver impressive performances. 

Analysis:

While the story of the film is not substantial, Aashiqu Abu’s handling of the screenplay sets it apart. The storytelling effectively combines the action scenes with the buildup elements. Despite the slow moments in between, and a climax that feels too straightforward after an exciting buildup, the film still offers an engaging experience.

Rifle Club is a neatly done stylish action drama. The casting, action sequences along with a few stunning visuals work well for the film, and though the slow narration and a bit underwhelming finish act like minus points, the film has a good impact overall.
