The release dates of all the Sankranthi releases have almost confirmed. Veera simha reddy of Nandamuri Balakrishna, Waltair Veerayya of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Vijay’s Varisu and Ajith’s Thunivu are getting ready for Sankranthi race.
The first one to hit the screens is Ajith’s Thunivu which will be releasing on 11th January. But 12th January reportedly will have two releases, Varisu and Veera Simha Reddy. On 13th, Megastar’s Waltair Veerayya movie will be releasing.
As Thunivu isn’t much of importance in Telugu states, the other movies are fighting for theaters and will have to share the space. Initially, Balayya fans were happy that their actor’s movie will be releasing ahead of Chiranjeevi’s film.
However, the simultaneous release of Varisu on the same day might dent theaters for Veera Simha Reddy. If both the films release on same day, there won’t be any advantage for Veera Simha Reddy. The last to come in the race is Waltair Veerayya.
Though Varisu and Waltair Veerayya have relative disadvantage for being one day later than their competitors, movie release date doesn’t dictate the result. They might face a slight hiccup on the day 1, but if the talk is good, they have the advantage from the next day.
In 2021 Sankranthi, Ala vaikuntapuramlo got more collections than Sarileru Neekevvaru though the former was released one day later. It’s the content that matters after all, any day. Let’s see how this fascinating competition at Sankranthi 2023 will turn out.
