Titled Idli Kottu in Telugu, the movie started streaming on Netflix on October 29. In its first week (October 29 to November 2), it recorded 5.1 million views, ranking Top 2 globally, Top 1 in India, and Top 10 in several countries.
In the second week (November 3 to November 9), the film gained another 2.9 million views and secured the Top 4 position globally among non-English films, while continuing to hold the Top 1 spot in India.
Overall, Dhanush’s Idli Kadai has achieved record viewership on Netflix, crossing 8 million views by November 9. No one expected it to gather such huge views on OTT.
