As per police, the individual arrested, who lives in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh, is a B-tech graduate from a renowned engineering college in Chennai. Hemant Tiwari, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the IFSO Unit, stated that Naveen previously operated a fan page for Rashmika and also created two additional fan pages for other prominent personalities.

At that time, the film community urged the government to stop the spread of these deepfake videos on social media. Legendary personalities like Amitabh Bachchan came supporting Rashmika during the controversy.
