The Ramayana team is reportedly in advanced talks with San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The plan is to host a grand trailer launch at the convention in July 2026 on a global stage.
Following the successful template of Kalki 2898 AD, an appearance at Comic-Con would introduce the Indian epic to a worldwide audience of film enthusiasts and international media. This marks a significant shift from the traditional domestic marketing approach.
Live Musical Event with Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman in October
Adding to the scale of the pre-release buzz, the makers are planning a landmark live musical event in October 2026. This event will feature the film’s legendary composers, Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, performing together.
Post-Production and Release Timeline
The film is currently in heavy post-production, with VFX work being handled by the Oscar-winning studio DNEG. With the first installment slated for a Diwali 2026 release, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are set to bring the epic characters to life on an unprecedented scale.
