Ranbir Kapoor’s highly awaited film Ramayana is slated to be a big two-part cinematic spectacle, with Part 1 premiering on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 following in 2027. Producer Namit Malhotra just announced the dates on social media, along with a poster.
Malhotra expressed his passion for the project and described his decade-long effort to realize this big ambition. He stressed the team’s commitment to creating an “authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation” of the epic, with the goal of making it a proud representation of Indian culture on a worldwide scale.
The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who is best recognized for his work on Dangal. It stars an excellent cast. Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama, with Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash, known for his performance in KGF, will play Ravana, a character he regards as rich in complexity and depth.Sunny Deol stars as Hanumana, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara.
With its deliberate approach and dedication to preserving the core of the Ramayana, this film is poised to become a landmark in Indian cinema, commemorating one of the country’s most beloved epics.
