Ram Charan represents Indian cinema at G20 Summit

Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir is hosting the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting from May 22 to 24. Besides foreign delegations, Telugu actor Ram Charan also came to Srinagar as one of the speakers to represent India today. Addressing the event “Film Tourism for Economic Growth and Cultural Preservation”, Ram Charan spoke about his experience of shooting films in Jammu and Kashmir.

The actor said he had been coming to Kashmir since 1986 while his father, Chiranjeevi, had filmed a lot of Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Referring to the venue where the event took place, Ram Charan said he made a movie in this auditorium in 2016. He was very warmly received at the event and had nice conversations about various things like Indian Culture, RRR Release in Japan and his journey with the country. Also, he danced to the tune of the globally popular song, Naatu Naatu at the event.

Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, along with Amitabh Kant, who is a G20 Sherpa, were presiding over the summit and welcomed the guests in Srinagar. While Jammu and Kashmir has been decorated to show the art and culture, security has also been tightened. National Security Guard (NSG) and MARCOS commandos have also been deployed at the venue of the event.

On the work front, actor Ram Charan will next be seen in Shankar’s ‘Game Changer’ with Kiara Advani as the female lead. The film is expected to be released in 2024 Summer. After the phenomenal success of the SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, Ram Charan became a global star with the song “Naatu Naatu” winning the Oscars. Through his presence at the Oscars and Golden Globe ceremonies, Ram Charan has surely left his mark on the globe and made his admirers happy.
