Superstar Rajinikanth will be next seen in the movie Jailer. Nelson is the director of the film, which will be released on worldwide screens on August 10th. The film has received a good buzz until now and the business is also done as per the craze only. The Jailer movie’s pre-release business is done for a superb amount of RS 123 Crores. Let’s get into the details of business and breakeven of the film.
The Tamil Nadu business for the film has been valued at around 60 Crores, while Karnataka is closed around 10 Crores. The Telugu states number will be 12 Crores, Kerala at 5.5 Crores, while the rest of India will be valued around 3 – 4 Crores. Total India rights of Jailer will be around 91 Crores and Overseas is valued at 32 Crores. Which takes the total worldwide business amount up to 123 Crores. The film needs to collect around 250 Crores gross for Hit status.
Rajinikanth’s last release Annatthe (Peddanna) was a massive failure at the box office. However, Jailer had good hype right from the announcement itself. Anirudh Ravichander’s music and theatrical trailer of the film have received superb response from the fans. Now we should wait and see whether the film, Jailer, will be able to get into the super hit zone or not.
Nelson Dilipkumar has written and directed Jailer, which is touted as a full-fledged action entertainer with a pinch of humor. The film features Rajinikanth in the lead role.
