“From 300-foot-high ice walls in Antarctica to gigantic armies of Ancient Rome, the scale is massive. We wanted to capture their immensity in the best possible way, and the IMAX ratio allowed us to do that,” said Rajamouli.
The director’s choice to shoot in IMAX format underscores his commitment to delivering a visually spectacular cinematic experience that matches the epic scope of the story. With Telugu audiences soon getting access to IMAX screens in Hyderabad, the timing couldn’t be better for this ambitious project.

The story begins in the sacred city of Varanasi, travels to the frozen landscapes of Antarctica and the vast terrains of Africa, journeys back in time to Ancient Rome, and finally returns to Varanasi.

Production Update: 80% Complete
Providing an update on the film’s production timeline, Rajamouli revealed that nearly 80% of the shoot has been completed. He added that the team has already wrapped up the film’s biggest and most demanding action sequences, while the remaining 20% mainly consists of smaller scenes and connecting portions.
