Sequels like Baahubali 2 and KGF 2 have created an all time opening record in Hindi markets. The trade circles expected something similar with Pushpa 2 considering it’s a much anticipated sequel like the other two. It was even projected that the Allu Arjun starrer will create all time record with an 80 Cr opening .
The initial advances started on an extremely strong note just as per expectations. However, that momentum has dropped now.
As per current booking trends, this expectation has gone down to 60 Cr which means the opening day could be lesser than Shahrukh Khan’s 2023 blockbuster Jawan. Now unless there is a massive jump in next 2 days crossing Jawan would not be possible.
The trade circle and even fans are keeping a keen eye on these proceedings. It needs to be seen how Pushpa 2 fares from here. It will be interesting to see whether this Sukumar film will have a 60 Cr to 70 Cr opening or even fall to a 50 Cr to 55 Cr range in next days
