Prashanth Neel is disappointed with the censor team on the Salaar A Certificate. It is widely known that the Pan-Indian director’s upcoming big film, Salaar, is all set to be released in theaters worldwide. The film was recently censored. Prashanth Neel is disappointed with the censor team on the Salaar A Certificate. He shared the issues he faced during the censorship of the film with SS Rajamouli.
It is widely known that the maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli had taken an interview with the Salaar team, Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Prashanth stated that the censor officers made so many cuts; he was ok with doing all those, but there were a few cuts that he did not want to remove, as they would impact the story of the movie.
The reason behind opting for an A rating was revealed by director Prashanth Neel during a recent interview with Rajamouli from RRR. He brought up the fact that the censor board requested cuts in numerous scenes. The director believes that removing a few particular shots would have a significant impact on the film, even though some were acceptable. “I’m very disappointed because the movie isn’t vulgar; it showcases necessary violence. When I conveyed the same to Prabhas, he advised me to go for an A certificate.”
