Telugu audiences missed the opportunity to watch Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara’s Parasakthi in theatres, as the film was not released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But the film is now set to make its OTT debut on ZEE5 from tomorrow, streaming in both Tamil and Telugu.
Parasakthi was initially planned for a simultaneous theatrical release in Tamil and Telugu. Due to the heavy Sankranthi release rush in the Telugu states, the makers decided to release the Tamil version first, with the Telugu version scheduled for the Republic Day weekend.

Unfortunately, the film did not receive the expected response in Tamil theatres, which led to the Telugu theatrical release being shelved. This raised doubts about whether the Telugu version would premiere on OTT. Those concerns have now been put to rest, as it has been officially confirmed that the Sudha Kongara directorial will stream in all South Indian languages on ZEE5 from February 7.
Starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan (Jayam Ravi), Sreeleela, and Atharvaa, Parasakthi is set in the 1960s. The film revolves around the anti-Hindi imposition agitations in the former Madras State, following the story of two brothers involved in the movement.
