TVF’s Panchayat is one of the most loved web series on Amazon Prime Video. The makers came up with the fourth series now. Let us check whether Panchayat Season 4 lived up to the expectations or not in our review.
Story:
Abhishek Tripathi, or Sachivji (Jitendra Kumar), concentrates on his CAT exams amid rising tensions in Phulera. Pradhanji (Raghubir Yadav) survives a gunshot and sues Bhushan aka Banrakas (Durgesh Kumar) and MLA Chandu Singh (Pankaj Jha). Abhishek also faces assault charges against Bhushan, and when he attempts to apologize, the latter asks for a favor.
The rest of the series explores the escalating political feud between Pradhanji and Bhushan and its eventual outcome.
Performances:
Jitendra Kumar keeps up his composed and convincing portrayal of Sachiv ji from previous seasons. Durgesh Kumar impresses as Banrakas/Bhushan, the local troublemaker.
Sunita Rajwar delivers a convincing performance as Kranti Devi in pivotal scenes. Raghubir Yadav fits perfectly as Pradhanji, similar to Neena Gupta as Manju Devi.
As Prahlad, Faisal Malik and as Binod, Ashok Pathak showcase natural acting.
Analysis:
Directors Akshat Vijaywargiya and Deepak Kumar Mishra, along with writer Chandan Kumar, attempt to maintain the previous seasons’ vibe but struggle to keep viewers engaged. This screenplay fails to bring new ideas and seems too similar throughout.
The moments like an argument over laddoos, the awkward dinner, the IT raid, and the scenes involving MLA create intriguing and humorous moments. The beginning hooks viewers, but the story lags in the middle, and ends on a decent note.
The storyline fails to impress, feels unnecessarily prolonged, and lacks surprises or fresh characters. The narration should have emphasized Prahlad’s emotions and Rinky’s relationship with Sachiv Ji more.
Positives:
- Performances
- Initial Episodes
- Few Fun Moments/Dialogues
Negatives:
- Lacks any Memorable Moments
- Dragged Parts in Middle Episodes
- A Few Unexplored Characters/Tracks
Panchayat Season 4 Review and Verdict:
Panchayat Season 4 maintains the previous seasons’ vibe with a local political backdrop. While it pleases fans it doesn’t fully meet expectations. Jitendra Kumar and Durgesh Kumar shine, but standard humor and ordinary moments limit the season’s impact.
