Arshad Warsi Finally Responds To Trolls From Prabhas Fans!

0

Arshad Warsi, best known for his role opposite Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s Munna Bhai series, has grabbed nation-wide attention for his remarks on Prabhas. Talking about his recent release Kalki: 2898 AD, he called the ‘Rebel Star’ a ‘Joker’.

This did not go well with the fans for obvious reasons, and Mr. Warsi received extreme hatred from the fans of Prabhas. To clear the air, the actor has finally clarified that he was talking about the character ‘Bhairava’ and not the actor.

“Everybody has their own point of view, and people like to interpret noise. I spoke about the character, not the person. Prabhas is a brilliant actor, and he has proved himself again and again, and we know about it. And, when we give a bad character to a good actor, it’s heartbreaking for the audience,” Warsi clarified.

Devara 2 Days Box Office Collections

0

Devara holds steady on Day 2 after a sensational opening day. In the Telugu states, the film has collected around 25 Cr gross. In the rest of the southern states—Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala—the combined gross is around 8 Cr, while the North India gross is around 11 Cr. The total all-India Day 2 gross stands at approximately 44 Cr.

Overseas performance is a bit disappointing after the strong opening day, with Day 2 estimates around 1.1M (9 Cr). The total Day 2 gross is 53 Cr, bringing the total 2-day gross to 204 Cr.

For the first 2 days, the Telugu version’s worldwide share is around 110 Cr, while the share for all versions is around 120 Cr. In these 2 days, the worldwide recovery has reached 60%, which is excellent. Today needs to be bigger than Day 2. The weekend gross is expected to be in the range of 250 Cr.

Only Mokshagna Carries Nandamuri Legacy – Balakrishna

0

Nandamuri Balakrishna has always been the flagbearer of controversies. Known for being shorttempered  both on and off screen, the veteran actor has been in the news for over a million wrongdoings in the past four decades.

Most recently, Balayya, who was spotted at the iiFA awards, was asked by a media person regarding who would carry the Nandamuri legacy forward after him. “My son, my grandson, who else?” he quickly responded. This is a sure-shot attack on Jr. NTR, who’s currently basking in the success of his latest release, Devara: Part One.

Of course, the ‘Young Tiger’ fans are severely upset with these remarks. It must be seen how Tarak will react to these statements consciously made by his paternal uncle.

Chiranjeevi & Balayya Exit From Sankranthi Race!

0

‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi’s fantasy drama Vishwambara and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s action drama #NBK109 are supposed to lock horns in January 2025, coinciding with the Sankranthi weekend. But the latest news in the industry circles is that both of these biggies have opted out of this race.

Vishwambhara is said to be postponed due to pending work, and Game Changer is joining the Sankranti race. As a result, the makers of NBK109 are reportedly releasing it for Christmas instead of competing for Sankranti. With this, both stars are exiting the Sankranti race

For Game Changer Sankranthi is undoubtedly the better option than Christmas. Besides this, Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi’s Thandel is also reportedly aiming for the same date.

Of course, Sundeep Kishan‘s Majaka and Venky-Anil Ravipudi film have officially announced that they will arrive for Sankranthi weekend. Clearly, a prosperous festival is on cards this January.

This might be disappointing news for those who wanted to see Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna clash again.

Devara Day 2 – Hindi Surges, Telugu Holds Decent!

0

Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One has taken an earth-shattering opening of INR 151 crore worldwide. Of course, 90% of the revenue comes from its Telugu version alone. Here’s how the action drama fared on its second day.

While Devara surpassed the day-1 figures of Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire and Kalki: 2898 AD in telugu by a big margin, it failed to hold the same lead on day-2 over Salaar and Kalki. Despite that, the film registered good occupancies in evening and night shows today, which is a good sign.

Even overseas, after a massive start, the film did not maintain the same level on Day 2. In all territories, Saturday is trending lower than Friday

The Hindi version deserves special notice since a 25% increase in collections was witnessed on second day. Devara’s day-2 Hindi nett is estimated closer to INR 10 crore. Overall, the Koratala Siva-directorial is expected to collect in the range of 60 crore gross worldwide on Saturday, thus taking its final collections over INR 200 crore.

In Telugu the advance bookings for day 3 is lesser than Day2 which is a concern for long run. As tomorrow is Sunday more walk-ins are expected and likely to match Day 2 numbers. The jump is Hindi is very positive sign , Day3 advances are better than Day2.

No Competition For Prabhas in Nizam!

0

For those unaware, the entire state of Telangana comes under the umbrella term ‘Nizam’. Of course, the major source of income in this territory comes from Hyderbad city alone, where a huge number of young adults and working professionals reside.

When it comes to records at Nizam, the discussion is incomplete without Prabhas. Yes, as the title reads, the ‘Rebel Star’ has always had a strong hold in this area. Needless to say, S. S. Rajamouli’s Bahubali series took the craze to a different level.

Prabhas’s films, irresponsive of word-of-mouth, register huge footfalls in their first three days of theatrical run in Nizam. This is exactly where other stars fall short of him. The recent release Devara posted record numbers on day one but failed to hold it; the Saturday and Sunday’s advance bookings are way behind those of Radhe Shyam, Salaar, and Kalki: 2898 AD.

Karthi and Arvind Swamy starrer Sathyam Sundaram has managed to create quite some buzz in recent times. After the debacle of his last outing ‘Japan’ Karthi has made a complete shift from the regular commercial movies format and opted for this emotional drama. The movie’s trailer hinted that it will ride heavily on emotions but didn’t reveal any thing about the story. This mystery has created great curiosity amongst the audience. Co-starring Arvind Swamy, Meiyazhagan (Sathyam Sundaram in Telugu) received a thunderous response from its premieres, and now it is in front of the audience worldwide. Did the movie manage to win the audience’s hearts and what exactly is that movie about? Let’s find out.

Story:

It has been 22 years since Satyam (Aravind Swamy) moved out of his village to Vizag due to his father’s property disputes. Despite living in Vizag for 22 long years, his childhood memories and love for his village keep pulling him back. He gets to revisit his early years when he attends a relative’s wedding in the village. This is where he chances upon Karthi, his supposed brother-in-law and a kind-hearted, innocent man who changes his life forever. What happened during that night? who’s this mysterious man? and what kind of changes this meeting brought in Satyam’s life is what the movie follows.

Performances:

Arvind Swamy’s reserved and introverted character is an extremely tough one to perform and he aces it. He brings a terrific subtle and mature energy to the movie in a role many of us would relate to. Karthi, as always is endearing and lights up the movie with his timing and innocence. His outgoing personality is a perfect foil to Arvind Swamy’s reserved nature. The scenes between the duo and their budding friendship will certainly bring a smile to your face and even move you to tears. Sri Divya as Karthi’s wife has a small but vital role and she aces it. Other characters like Jayaprakash and Raj Kiran are as dependable as ever.

Movie Analysis:

Sathyam Sundaram is a story of memories, relationships, and timeless bonds. It will certainly appeal to movie lovers who are interested in some feel-good, story-driven drama. The movie heavily relies on the characterizations of Aravind Swamy and Karthi and while their scenes are a major plus point, the run time and slow narration might not appeal to many. Technically, its a string movie majorly targeting family audiences. However, some humorous exchanges between Karthi and Arvind Swamy will surely entertain every section of the audience.

Positives:

  • Karthi and Aravind Swamy
  • Govind Vasantha’s Music
  • Strongly written characters
  • Emotional content

Negatives:

  • Slow narration
  • Run time
  • Dragged scenes

Verdict:

Sathyam Sundaram is a bouquet of emotions that will surely pull your heartstrings at some moment or the other. The casting, locations, and production values will surely transport you to your good old days. Runtime and slowness aside, its truly an immersive experience thanks to Karthi. Watch it if you’re someone looking for a change from regular commercial cinema.

Saif Ali Khan roars in Devara

0

Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan played the role of Bhaira in Devara co-starring NTR which released yesterday amid huge expectations. The film performed extraordinarily on the opening day grossing more than 150 crores worldwide. NTR’s performance has been getting a good applause from the fans and audience. Saif has also roared with his performance in Devara to everyone’s surprise.

When Saif Ali Khan was roped in for Devara, many had thought that it would be for a regular antagonist role. But Saif has surprised all with his menacing screen presence and performance. He also became one of the biggest assets for the film after NTR. He looked very natural and ferocious in certain scenes. His character also felt like not being a regular villain role. Saif executed his confrontation scenes with NTR greatly by matching up to NTR’s stardom.

Saif also played the antagonist role in Adipurush co-starring Prabhas. But he received huge trolls for his portrayal and character development. But this time with Devara, Saif has excelled completely in every segment. He will also be playing the antagonist role in Devara 2. Devara is riding high with the performance of the opening day and the film is also continuing the same momentum today as well.

Shankar’s Make or Break Moment: Will ‘Game Changer’ Decide His Future?

0

Shankar, a top director, has consistently fallen short of expectations in recent years. His most recent film, Indian 2, has caused him a great deal of discomfort, and he has finished filming Game Changer, which stars Ram Charan. He has received harsh criticism because the film’s production has been delayed by years and the budget has exceeded expectations. Shankar is currently working on the film’s post-production.

All eyes are on Shankar, who will undoubtedly bounce back with Game Changer. There is speculation that Shankar is developing a multi-starrer for next year, with Suriya and Vikram playing the key roles. The film is based on the novel Velpari and will be made in three parts, at an estimated expenditure of Rs 1000 crores. The film’s destiny is entirely dependent on the outcome of Game Changer.

After a flop like Indian 2, Shankar must bounce back with Game Changer. Otherwise, he will miss out on the possibility of working with celebrities and will be overlooked. Also, no producer would be willing to invest massive money in a three-part picture. Thus, the outcome of Game Changer is critical to Shankar’s career.
