Game Changer Chooses Wrong Release Date

Game Changer was announced for 20th December some time back bringing a great relief for Ram Charan fans. However, right after this, rumours cropped up claiming Game Changer is now being postponed to Sankranti. Now, Dil Raju has stated that the movie will be arriving on the 25th of December. 

This new release date has the advantage of Christmas being opening day with the weekend followed by the New Year holiday. However, after New Year’s Day, the film will struggle as it will be a pre-festival period followed by Sankranti releases making it tough for Game Changer to continue its hold.

If Game Changer releases on 20th December, it will have an additional 5 days of extra run. As it is a big film, it will have a strong 1st weekend followed by weekends, Christmas, and New Year’s Day with another weekend falling in between. This release date will certainly help Game Changer immensely in having a solid first couple of weeks.

Another disadvantage of releasing on the 25th is the second day being a Thursday which is a working day. Considering all these factors, it will be ideal to release the much-awaited Ram Charan starter on 20th December.

NTR: The saviour for flop directors

Tollywood Actor NTR has made himself a saviour for flop directors. The Actor worked with many directors earlier who had delivered flops in the past. But thanks to him, they witnessed successes and now it looks the same is the case for another Director Koratala Siva with Devara. The film is running successfully in the theatres grossing more than 250 crores for the first weekend.

Puri Jagannath suffered setbacks before Temper but revived back with its success. Sukumar too tasted bad result with 1 Nenokkadine and found a decent success with Nannaku Prematho which released later. Bobby who’s Sardaar Gabbar Singh became a disaster had a success with Jai Lava Kusa. The same happened to Trivikram with Aravinda Sametha who earlier had a bitter result with Agnyaathavaasi. .

Koralata Siva who delievered back to back blockbusters right from his debut had witnessed one of the biggest disasters in the form of Acharya starring Chiranjeevi. Many people trolled him badly for his direction and felt that he might not bounce back. But with Devara, Koratala Siva managed to revive his career. NTR must also be appreciated for giving an opporunities to these directors who had miserable flops. He is believing in them completely which is proving to be successful.

Telugu heroes conquering Hindi markets

After Baahubali series, Prabhas became a Pan India sensation earning nationwide fans and audience. His films that released after Baahubali 2 made good performances at Hindi Box office making him a bankable star there. Allu Arjun too followed Prabhas by earning great fans with his Pushpa. The film became a sensation there. Now, it looks NTR is doing the same with his Devara. Telugu Heroes are conquering the Hindi markets surprisingly.

NTR alongwith Ram Charan enjoyed the popularity in Hindi markets with their RRR. But NTR seems to have repeated this solely now with Devara. The film opened with more than 25 crore Nett for the first weekend which is an excellent performance. Many Bollywood stars were unable to put these numbers ironically. The film is also expected to cross the 50 crore Nett in the coming weekend.

Another Tollywood Actor Mahesh Babu is gearing up with his upcoming film directed by SS Rajamouli. This film will definitely make him another bankable hero in Hindi markets. Hindi Audience are showing so much of interest towards these heroes’ films. This has become a big advantage for the heroes as well. Pushpa 2 which is also slated for release this year would do wonders at the Hindi box office without a doubt.

Devara overseas: Huge start but weekend drop

Devara started the overseas performance in a rampage mode with an opening of around $5.3 Million but witnessed a drop on Day 2 and Day 3 bringing the total weekend collections to around $7 Million. Despite the drop, the huge opening ensured a breakeven for the film in the next two days. A strict average mouth talk is said to have been the reason for the drop in the collections for Devara.

As said, big numbers were expected from such a strong start but the film had a disappointment with the drop. Trade expected that the film would be doing a minimum of 100 crores in the overseas market in the full run. But now there is no chance of reaching that mark. Collecting $10 Million in the full run is also an impossible task now in the overseas region with the drop that Devara witnessed.

However, the film’s performance is very strong in Telugu States. The film has also grossed more than 250 crores gross in the first weekend showing great hold. Monday i.e. Today’s performance for the film is crucial to take the momentum till the next weekend. Dussehra season may also add up as an advantage for the film’s long run performance.

Devara has now hit a major milestone of Rs 250 crores gross worldwide. This is a phenomenal achievement and the movie owes its success to NTR’s stardom and crowd-pulling capacity. Before its release, the film saw weak promotions (pre-release event cancellation) and a mixed response to audio.

Despite these factors, the film stood strong at the box office and recorded excellent openings and weekend numbers. While the film registered good box office figures, it faced heavy trolls for the statements made by cast and crew members during the promotions. While it’s natural for people to hype their films, the Devara team made some outrageous statements that are facing heavy trolls.

Koratala Siva said that it was very hard to imagine and write Janhvi Kapoor’s role in Devara and NTR and further added that she did very well and performed a two-page dialogue in a single take. However, once the film was released, everyone saw how poorly Janhvi Kapoor’s character was written and how little screentime her role had. Forget the two-page dialogue; her presence on screen includes very few dialogues.

Producer Kalyan Ram said that the movie’s visuals were never attempted in Indian cinema. He further compared it to Game of Thrones. In reality, Devara was like any other regular mass commercial film.

NTR also said that the climax would be the film’s biggest asset, but the audience felt the exact opposite and was particularly disappointed with the last twist. The film did excellent business on 1st weekend but these overhyped comments received trolls

Devara storms box office with 250 crore weekend

Devara had an excellent performance at the box office for the first weekend. This is also one of the biggest first weekend performances for a film in Tollywood. The Total first weekend gross is in the range of 250 crores. Telugu version has obviously dominated the overall collections with Hindi being good. Tamil version disappointed and hasn’t put big numbers.

In the overseas market, the film’s opening has exceeded the expectations with 5.3 Million dollar performance. However Day 2 and Day 3’s performance has disappointed with a drop. Overall collections stand at 7 Million Dollars for the first weekend with most of them coming from the premieres and Day 1. The film will definitely achieve the breakeven mark and end up having profits.

Devara needs to collect 400 crores for a super hit status at the box office. It needs to hold good from tomorrow i.e., Monday until the second weekend arrives. Wednesday’s public holiday is also a big advantage for the film. Dussehra holidays scheduled from the next weekend will take the film’s box office prospects to another level.

పాన్ ఇండియన్ లేటెస్ట్ మాస్ యాక్షన్ ఎమోషనల్ మూవీ దేవర పార్ట్ 1 ద్వారా తాజాగా ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకి వచ్చారు టాలీవుడ్ స్టార్ యాక్టర్ గ్లోబల్ ఐకాన్ యంగ్ టైగర్ ఎన్టీఆర్. ఈ మూవీలో ఎన్టీఆర్ డ్యూయల్ రోల్ చేయగా హీరోయిన్ గా జంప్ కపూర్ నటించారు. మొదటి నుండి మంచి అంచనాలు ఏర్పరిచిన ఈ మూవీ మిక్స్డ్ టాక్ ని సొంతం చేసుకుంది.

దేవరకు మూడవ రోజు ఆశించిన స్థాయిలో బుకింగ్స్ లేకపోవడం కూడా అందుకు నిదర్శనం. అయితే దేవరకు మొత్తంగా రూ. 400 కోట్ల కలెక్షన్ లభిస్తే మూవీ హిట్ కొట్టినట్లే. ఈ వీకెండ్ కి రూ. 250 కోట్లని రాబట్టే ఈ మూవీ, ఓవరాల్ గా రూ సలార్ వరల్డ్ వైడ్ గ్రాస్ రూ. 600 కోట్లని అందుకునే ఛాన్స్ చాలావరకు లేనట్లే అంటున్నాయి ట్రేడ్ వర్గాలు. దానిని బట్టి సలార్ ని దేవర మూవీ అందుకోవడం కష్టమే అని అర్ధమవుతోంది.
