Kanguva: 4am shows in all states

Telugu audiences and trade circles have owned Tamil and other language films for several years now. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Tamil trade reciprocating the same. The recent release of Diwali films like KA, Amaran, and Lucky Baskhar has once again made this abundantly clear.

Lucky Baskhar and KA movies are Telugu-produced films still Amaran and Bagheera have been allotted a huge number of shows in Hyderabad. These films even got a higher number of shows despite less business involved.

Even the Amaran Tamil version also got a good number of shows in Hyderabad. Hindi films like Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 have more shows than KA movies in Hyderabad.

In Chennai and TN, our Telugu film KA did not even get a single show. The Tamil version dropped due to competition but even for the Telugu version, no-shows were allocated despite a high demand.

Extremely limited shows have been allotted for Lucky Baskhar despite a heavy demand. On the other hand, Hindi films Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 and Singham Returns got a good screen count in Chennai. This is an unfortunate situation and the scenario has to change in Tamil Nadu to ensure a healthy trade environment.

Thandel starring Naga Chaitanya is the big budgeted film in his career. The film also has many expectations among the audience. The film was originally planned as a Christmas or Sankranthi release. But it is learnt that it has been postponed to February next year which has disappointed all. Naga Chaitanya now faces the heat from Akkineni fans as well.

A press meet by the makers is also scheduled to happen next week to announce the new release date. This is really disappointing news for fans and audience as well. Netizens feel that Naga Chaitanya must not leave everything to the makers and should convince them for releasing the film during a festive season. Thandel being a big budgeted film may have big risk if it releases during non-festive season.

We need to see if makers would also look at the summer season if they opt for a holiday period release. Sankranthi season is already occupied by many releases. So, Summer would be a best choice for the film.

Prabhas is the busiest A-listers in not just Tollywood but on a pan-India level as well. He is someone who doesn’t stick to a single film but works parallelly for 2-to 3 films which is a great style of working.

Since these pan-India films take a lot of time for CG, Post-production, and work on other scenes that exclude the hero, Prabhas can afford to allocate dates to other projects and he’s doing exactly that.

Due to this planning, he can release multiple biggies in a short period. He recently released 3 pan-India films in a year’s gap and now has 3 films already committed in the form of The Raja Saab, Hanu Raghavapudi film, and Spirit. Kalki 2 is likely to take more time and now the latest buzz is that Prabhas is in discussions with Prasanth Varma and Lokesh Kangaraj. Both directors have created universes with LCU and PVCU and the Rebel Star will likely be a part of both these universes.
