Pan India dreams & embarrassing situations: Kannada media reporters irk Suriya

0

Suriya and the team of his upcoming film, Kanguva are busy in the promotional activities. They are interacting with the press and the media journalists answering many things about the film. The team, in this process, went recently to Bengaluru to promote the film and the Kannada Media reporters there have irked Suriya with their questions shockingly.

One of the reporters asked Suriya as to why he avoided a clash with Rajinikanth’s film Vettaiyan but chose to clash with Kannada Actor, Shiva Raj Kumar’s film, Bhairathi Ranagal. Suriya was evidently irked with this. He replied saying that they had opted for a Pan Indian release which could have been disturbed because of Vettaiyan’s prominence in other languages. Suriya even tried giving the example of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which became successful even in a clash.

Suriya cited this example assuring both Kanguva and Bhairathi Rangal’s success even if there was a clash. But the reporter took no time and countered again asking why the same clash didn’t happen with Kanguva and Vettaiyan if both could become successful. Then Suriya clarified again saying that CG work was also pending and they opted to postpone the film. Suriya has obviously lied giving this statement as he had earlier stated that they postponed the film only for Rajinikanth.

Another reporter asked if Suriya would assure of more screens and theatres for a straight Kannada film in Tamil Nadu. This also had Suriya become uncomfortable. He said that he would try his best to get more screens for a Kannada film but he couldn’t control as it falls under distribution system.

Pan India dreams and embarrassing situations:
One could understand that these questions were really aimed not only at Suriya but also at the Tamil Film Industry. Many low budgeted foreign language films struggle to get screens in Tamil Nadu. Suriya too would have understood the point.

Recent Pan Indian dreams of some Actors is also the reason for encountering these embarrassing situations. Kananda media reporters used the opportunity greatly again. They once lectured Allu Arjun for arriving late at the venue and making them wait. Allu Arjun had to openly apologize for their inconvenience.

Thandel team hurts film Journalists

0

The team of Thandel conducted a press meet yesterday to address the issue of release date of the film. The team also had a Q&A session with the Journalists who gathered there. They even announced the release date of the film officially as on 7th February next year. The team of Thandel during this press meet has applied an approach which has hurt the film Journalists badly.

The team addressed only 5 questions coming from the Journalists finishing the press meet hastily as well. This didn’t go well with the Journalists who felt what was the need of even conducting a press meet if only few questions were allowed. They felt that the team could have avoided the press meet all the way. The film Journalists were completely disappointed with this attitude of the team of Thandel.

Many felt that this could also be because of the controversial questions Journalists posing recently in the press meets. Firstly, faces of Journalists who were asking the questions were not revealed making it look like only a verbal conversation. Second was limiting the questions to be only few. Third was the absence of the lead actors, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi during the Q&A indicating the urge to avoid any controversy in the press meet. This approach is now being criticised by the film Journalists and other film websites.

0

Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming film is shaping up to be the perfect Sankranti treat, and it could very well pose stiff competition for other big releases like Game Changer and NBK109 (tentatively titled Daaku Maharaj). With Venkatesh’s unbeatable fan base and Anil Ravipudi’s proven track record for crafting family-friendly blockbusters, this film is generating massive excitement among audiences.

Both Game Changer, led by Ram Charan, and NBK109 starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, bring their own style and star power to the festive season. However, the Venkatesh-Ravipudi film has its own ace up its sleeve—a mix of humor, emotion, and the family-centric elements that have traditionally been Sankranti favorites.

Given the response from buyers, with Andhra region rights quoted at 25 crore and worldwide theatrical rights aiming for nearly 60 crore, the film’s business potential speaks volumes.

With all three films gearing up for a blockbuster clash, Venkatesh’s movie could very well dominate the family audience segment and become the season’s ultimate crowd-pleaser.

Sankranti 2025 is shaping up to be an epic festival for Telugu cinema lovers, and all eyes will be on Venkatesh to see if he can once again charm his way to the top!

Rana’s Immature Comments at IIFA

0

During the IIFA Awards, Rana Daggubati stirred controversy with several satirical comments targeting notable stars and recent films, which didn’t sit well with fans. In one instance, he directly referenced Ravi Teja’s recent film Mr. Bachchan, stating “this year he witnessed Bachchan sirs highest highs and lowest lows.” When co-host Teja asked if Kalki was the “high,” Rana appeared to imply that the “low” was Ravi Teja’s latest movie, though Teja interrupted him before he could finish. Fans quickly caught on, interpreting this as a jab at Mr. Bachchan.

Rana also made satirical comments on Maa Vishnu and the MAA association, as well as OM Raut’s emotional statement about reserving a seat for Hanuman in every theater for Adipurush, which definitely did not go over well with everyone.

Rana also commented on Pushpa 2, calling it “Pushpa Too Late” due to its repeated delays. Additionally, Rana brought up a comparison between Teja and Mahesh Babu, referring to both as former child artists, but humorously labeling one as a “superstar” and the other a “superhero.”

He further commented on their Sankranti releases, alluding to the previous Sankranti season when Mahesh’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’ received mixed reviews while Teja’s ‘Hanuman’ became an industry hit. Rana’s comments have fueled an online frenzy, with fans of various stars engaging in heated debates. Though satire is often part of award shows, many felt his remarks went too far, leading to significant backlash across social media platforms.

Pushpa 2 US Premier Sales Surpass Pushpa

0

Pushpa 1 had a rather average opening and closing business in America. During its premiers, the film could collect just around $550K and the closing of this Sukumar- Allu Arjun film was around $2.5M. This was not up to expectations especially considering the director-actor combo and the kind of hype Pushpa: The Rise had.

Fortunately for the makers, Pushpa 2 bookings that opened recently are doing amazing numbers and have already crossed the prequel’s premier numbers. The pre-sales have crossed $500K already, and as per projections, they will surpass Pushpa 1 closing figures in a matter of days. This shows the huge difference between Pushpa 1 and Pushpa 2 in terms of craze and anticipation.

Looking at the current trends, this Allu Arjun- Rashmika starrer might even go for a record $5 million premiere. If word of mouth is positive, there is definitely a high chance of this Sukumar film beating Baahubali 2’s numbers here. The breakeven itself is $15M in America, and now it all depends on early talk and reviews.

The film is in the final leg of its shooting and has exactly one month to go before its release. A special song with Sree Leela will mark the film’s wrap-up, and promotions are planned soon. All eyes are now on the Pushpa 2 trailer, and if the trailer manages to hit the right chord, then the sky is the limit.
