0

Game Changer starring Ram Charan is one of the most anticipated films of Tollywood. Directed by Shankar, the film is packed with many star cast including Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth and Naveen Chandra. The recently released Teaser too looked grand with the visuals and making span. Likewise, Game Changers first review is out and is also decalared a Blockbuster by none other than SJ Suryah.

SJ Suryah tweeted on his X/Twitter handle that he had finished the dubbing part of two vital scenes of Game Changer and the output appeared great to him. He also said that he could foresee the applause for these scenes in the theatres coming in heavy praise of the film evidently. The Actor thanked Director Shankar for providing him the opportunity as well declaring the Sankranthi season, the release period of Game Changer, as a Ram’PING SHANKAR’anthi.

This tweet of SJ Suryah is going viral now on social media platforms. This has just increased the hype further for the film as well. Game Changer is scheduled for release on 10th January 2025 as a Sankranthi release.

Kanguva heading towards biggest disaster in the history of Kollywood

0

Kanguva, the recent Suriya starrer, which was projected as a Pan India biggie is heading towards the biggest disaster in the history of Kollywood shockingly. The film released amid great expectations and hype before the release has fumbled on the opening day with a unanimous negative word of mouth from the Audience. It never recovered later in the weekend giving a major shock to fans and the makers of the film especially.

Kanguva is projected to sustain a loss of more than 150 crores overall. This is a big number and many analysts now term Kanguva to become the highest loss making venture in South India pushing down Radhe Shyam. Radhe Shyam starring Prabhas had suffered a loss of around 120 crores and ended up as a big disappointment for the Actor and makers combined. Now, it will be Kanguva’s turn. Kanguva is also expected to end up its run by grossing less than 100 crores worldwide.

This is purely an unfortunate event for Suriya. The Actor hoped of establishing himself as a Pan India sensation after this film but has suffered a major embarrassment with this result. He is also said to be in talks of compensating for the losses of Kanguva by acting in more film under the production of Studio Green.

0

Tollywood Actor, Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film RAPO22 has been kickstarted officially with a Pooja Ceremony today. The Actor will be pairing up with Bhagyashri Borse, fame of Mr. Bachchan as well. The film will be directed by a newcomer Mahesh Babu P under the production of Mythri Movie Makers.

Few Tollywood celebrities were also present at the event. Directors Gopichand Malineni switched on the camera, Hanu Raghapudi gave the clap and Venky Kudumula directed the first shot. Other Directors, Shiva Nirvana and Pavan Sadineni too graced the event with their presence. All wished the best luck for the team as well. The pair of Ram and Bhagyashri also felt good and apt for the film’s theme.

The film will be a fresh romantic tale for the Actor after a series of disappointing masala flicks. Ram suffered back to back disasters in the recent years with The Warriorr, Skanda and Double Ismart. All these films brought no respite to the Actor losing badly at the box office. The Actor realised this immediately and teamed up with the newcomer for a change. Shoot of the film will also happen officially soon.

Vijay Sethupathi’s landmark film Maharaja has become one of the year’s most appreciated cinematic achievements. The film has grabbed viewers and critics attention alike because of its intriguing storyline and Sethupathi’s outstanding performance.

Following its huge success in India, Maharaja is now getting ready for a groundbreaking release in China. All set to hit 40,000 screens on November 29, 2024, it marks one of the largest releases for an Indian film in the region. Yi Shi Films, in collaboration with Alibaba Pictures, is spearheading this ambitious venture, reflecting the growing global demand for Indian cinema.

For Vijay Sethupathi’s fans, Maharaja is more than just a movie—it’s a celebration of his illustrious journey in cinema. While Bollywood’s Dangal continues to hold the record as the highest-grossing Indian film globally, largely thanks to its unparalleled success in China, Maharaja has the potential to follow suit or even surpass it. With its heartfelt storytelling and emotional depth, the film is poised to connect with Chinese audiences in a big way.

As the release date approaches, all eyes are on how ‘Maharaja’ performs in this lucrative market. If it strikes a chord with viewers, it could set new benchmarks for Indian cinema on the global stage.

Devara Two-Part Plan Backfires on Koratala Siva Career

0

Way before its release Devara team declared that the movie’s story has a big span so it needs two parts. But after the release many including fans felt the film is worth just a one part and Koratala Siva unnecessarily dragged the film into two.

It is a popular opinion that had Devara been just a single part movie, it could have been a blockbuster. Due to two parts idea, the film received mixed response. Commercially, the film is a massive success. Despite getting mixed reviews, the film became a blockbuster primarily due to selling the rights at reasonable prices and NTR’s stardom. But the audience and fans are not interested in part 2.

The industry talk from few days is that even NTR is not interested doing part 2 as he already has a packed schedule with several massive projects. Had Koratala Siva planned Devara into just a single part, then it could have opened with blockbuster talk and even the stars would have queued up to work with him.

But right now, all the stars are busy and also may not show interest in working with Koratala Siva. Adding to this, Devara is not his best work. The director might have to break his streak of working only with stars. His filmography consists of films with Prabhas , Mahesh Babu, NTR, Chiranjeevi. If Devara part 2 does not materialize then finding a star hero would become a huge task.

Bagheera Streaming now

0

Bagheera, written by Prashanth Neel, is now available on Netflix in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages. This release is a significant milestone for Kannada cinema, which has traditionally found a home on localized streaming sites.

Bagheera is the first Kannada film to win global rights on a major OTT platform, marking a new chapter in the industry’s quest for international recognition. While the film struggled at the box office due to stiff competition from Lucky Bhaskar, Amaran, and KA, it still managed to garner attention, particularly in the Telugu market.

However, Bagheera’s arrival on Netflix offers a second chance for audiences to engage with the film. The action sequences received particular praise from Kannada audiences, even as the movie faced mixed reception overall.

Bagheera’s novel expertly combines emotional depth with high-octane action, all within the context of a superhero story. The ensemble, which includes Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Sudha Rani, and Ramachandra Raju, offers strong performances that add to the film’s appeal.

Arjun Shetty’s beautiful cinematography and B. Ajaneesh Loknath’s captivating background soundtrack add to the film’s cinematic experience.

Pawan Kalyan for Game Changer

0

Pawan Kalyan, who has been absent from movie events since becoming Deputy Chief Minister, is now slated to make a special appearance at the pre-release event for ‘Game Changer’. The Game Changer team is apparently planning to hold the event in Andhra Pradesh, with Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest.

Aside from the family connection, there is an interesting link between Pawan Kalyan and ‘Game Changer’. Initially, filmmaker Shankar envisioned Pawan Kalyan as the film’s lead. However, because of the actor’s political commitments, producer Dil Raju offered Ram Charan as the lead, and the film was eventually completed.

The film’s political setting makes Pawan Kalyan an appropriate choice to headline its promotional event. On the production front, ‘Game Changer’ shooting is almost finished. The final schedule for the film is now underway, and it is expected to be completed within a week. This brings the shoot to a close and prepares for post-production.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack for ‘Game Changer’ has sparked a lot of discussion. Following the popularity of the first two singles, the team plans to release a third song next week. With Pawan Kalyan’s probable appearance and the film’s political subtext, ‘Game Changer’ is poised to be a major success in Telugu cinema.

Producers Blame Audiences, Not Content

0

In a surprising move, some Kollywood producers have decided to restrict YouTube reviewers and media from entering theaters, sparking a significant debate in the film industry.

Telugu cinema might soon follow this trend, as hinted by prominent producer Dil Raju. However, this approach reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of audience behavior and the role of reviews.

Good reviews can boost a film’s success if the content is strong, but bad reviews are rarely the sole reason for a movie’s failure. Recent examples like ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Kanguva’ suffered primarily due to weak content and poor word-of-mouth (WOM) feedback from audiences, not because of targeted negative campaigns as some producers claim.

When a film fails to resonate with viewers, it is often because of storytelling or execution issues, not external factors like online reviews. Ironically, many films have thrived at the box office despite mixed or poor reviews.

Audiences ultimately seek engaging and entertaining content, and no amount of negative propaganda can stop a good film from succeeding. If ‘Indian 2’ or ‘Kanguva’ had met audience expectations, they would have been widely celebrated, regardless of any criticism.

Producers should shift their focus from blaming audiences and reviewers to improving the quality of their films. Constructive feedback, whether from social media or traditional media, can serve as a valuable tool for growth. Instead of seeing reviews as obstacles, filmmakers should embrace them as opportunities to gauge public opinion and refine their craft. Ultimately, the content is what determines a movie’s fate.

Vishal: I am a Hero, Not a Villain

0

After the blockbuster success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan will be joining hands with Sudha Kongara. For this project, there have been several rumours that regarding the villain role and Jayam Ravi and Vishal were reported to be considered

Speaking on these rumours on being cast as villain in Sivakarthikeyan’s #SK25, Vishal countered and said,

“Villain? Certainly not. I am focused on my lineup and those are big. Also, I am aware where this talk mill originated from. I guess, it is their wish to see me as a villain after I have put in 20 years of hard work. I am not ready for it right now. It is better if they chill.”

This definitely is a good decision from Vishal. Vishal has a decent market at Box office. At this time it’s unnecessary to even think about villain and other roles which will directly kill hero’s market. Now, Jayam Ravi is said to be in final talks for villain role. It now needs to be seen what will be his final decision.

Trailer Trouble for Pushpa 2’s Bookings

0

The US advance bookings of Pushpa 2 opened a few days back. Initially, the film bookings got off to a sensational start and the opening figures were expected to be massive. In the recent times, Telugu pan-India films are opening pretty well and the US Premiers will have major contributions from Telugu audiences. As per the ongoing trend, all other languages will start performing from Day1 onwards

Keeping up with this trend, Kalki 2898 AD set a record premiere numbers with $3.9M by breaking mighty RRR record. NTR’s Devara also did a business in the excess of $3 Million.

With a strong start for Pushpa 2 advances, everyone expected it will be a $5 Million premiers and sets a new benchmark. The highly anticipated trailer released on last weekend definitely did not meet the expectations of Telugu audience. While it does seems like an grand film, many felt it was just a regular commercial entertainer on high scale.

The bad trailer cut has started impacting the advances in America. The film is not taking the jump after the trailer release which usually happens. The total North America pre sales are at $1.2M as of now. These numbers need to see a massive jump in the coming days to even to break Kalki 2898 AD premiers numbers.
