Moviegoers Slam the Telangana Government. The recent G.O of ticket hikes for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has received a negative response from the majority of movie lovers. The Governments should have a concern about people regarding any sector. While coming to the movies, states have always been welcoming and provided what the industry has asked for them, but they should also have the same attention towards the people, and should maintain flexible prices for tickets which would work for both filmmakers and audiences. 

One can understand that a massive budget film or a visual grandeur film that provides an unseen experience for the viewers in theaters need hike in the ticket prices to recover the costs. The existing prices in Telangana in Multiplexes is 295, which itself is a huge price and for big films, the government is permitting the hike of 100rs excluding GST, which feels like a big burden for audiences. Coming to Pushpa 2, one cannot deny the craze it has but, it is not made with a record budget, nor does it offer any new visual experience. It’s just a mass commercial film produced on a grand scale. However, for this film the government granted an additional 100 rs hike which takes the ticket price in single screens to 350 and more than 500 in multiplexes. Not only that, but they have also permitted Rs 1200 ticket rate for the special premiers before the film’s release date. Moviegoers slam the Telangana Government that how can it allow such massive ticket hikes and putting burden on audiences by cashing on their weakness. 

The government should be the one who should control and regulate the ticket rates but it itself is permitting the G.O for more ticket hikes which is now receiving a big backlash from people. In neighboring state, the Tamil Nadu Government controls the ticket prices and shows and even in Andhra Pradesh the regular prices are not like in Telangana and the government is not allowing record prices for hikes. So, the Telangana Government should take a firm decision on this issue and the concerned minister or authorities should try to control the ticket prices.

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas holds the highest opening in the American region. Though Salaar, his other starrer holds the opening record in Telugu States, Rest of India and other Overseas markets, it failed to beat this record in the US region. Kalki 2898 AD opening was 50% more than that of Salaar’s and it even broke the all time record set by RRR with $500K for the premieres. Kalki 2898 AD also went close to Baahubali 2 in its long run.

But the interesting question is, Why does Kalki 2898 AD rule America? The Recent biggie, Devara starring NTR too failed to come close to Kalki 2898 AD even after securing good hype. It can be understood that Devara had no massive span, gripping genre and budget like Kalki 2898 AD. But, Pushpa 2 which enjoys a sky high amount of craze and expectation still struggles to beat Kalki 2898 AD.

The film is expected to break Kalki 2898 AD but it looks unlikely now. Pushpa 2 Total North American pre-sales are at $2 Million now. It needs a massive jump to break Kalki 2898 AD’s record. At this trend, the premieres record are likely to stay with Kalki 2898 AD. Except this US region, Pushpa 2 will have an earth-shattering opening in all the other territories by a big margin. We need to see how the film performs in the long run and if there could be any chances of beating Kalki 2898 AD.

KA Movie and Lucky Baskhar are rocking on OTT Platforms. Kiran Abbavaram’s KA Movie and Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bashkar were released in theaters on Deepawali/Diwali and became blockbusters at the box office.

Now, after a successful theatrical run, KA Movie and Lucky Baskhar are rocking on OTT Platforms. KA movie started streaming On ETV win, and the response is phenomenal. The movie crossed 100 Million streaming minutes and the ETV win team conducted a success event as well. They are delighted with the response and stated that KA Movie has increased their platform’s subscription by 10% already. 

Dulquer Salmaan and Venky Atluri’s Lucky Baskhar is currently trending at top 1position on Netflix. The interesting thing is it is not only trending in India but also in many countries, and is receiving a sensational response from the viewers. Lucky Baskhar is available for streaming in all languages on Netflix. 

As said above, both the Diwali releases have done well at the box office and are now doing great on OTT as well. Meanwhile, the biggest blockbuster of this Diwali, Amaran is arriving at Netflix this Thursday.

Pawan Kalyan will decide Pushpa 2 ticket hikes. Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s most awaited sequel, Pushpa 2 is all set to be released in theaters worldwide on December 5,2024. The film has already registered massive ticket sales in North India, and it also received the ticket hike in Telangana state. But, the ticket hikes in Andhra Pradesh state have not been granted until now.

Reportedly, Pawan Kalyan will decide the ticket hikes. Recently, NTR’s Devara had superb ticket hikes in Andhra Pradesh, and it was after a long gap, a big movie got big ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh as the government allowed Rs 110 hike in single screens and Rs 135 in multiplexes along with allowing 6 shows in a day.

The insiders suggest the AP government is ready to allow the same ticket hike of Devara for Pushpa 2, But the Makers are said to be demanding a 250–300 rs hike which is definitely extremely high, and the government did not give the approval for the same. Also, the producers want a record hike for Premiers shows like Telangana with ticket cost over 1000. It is being reported that the makers and even Allu Arjun’s closer circles are in discussion with the deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on this issue, and now he has to decide on the hikes. No matter what the government’s decision will be, but undoubtedly increasing the ticket prices to that level is a burden for people.

Now, as the movie already ended its box office run, the film is expected to be available for streaming on Prime Video on December 2nd week in south Indian languages.

However, shockingly, Kanguva HD Print leaked before OTT Streaming. This is not a good news for the digital platform owners as the Tamil version HD print has been leaked online. An HD print coming out before the official digital streaming will definitely hurt them as they bought the digital rights for record prices. Maharaja sees huge surge in China

Maharaja starring Vijay Sethupathi is one of the biggest hits of Kollywood this year. The film’s success brought a big relief to the Actor who was facing a dull phase in the recent years. Prompted by the success of Maharaja, the makers have release the film in China. Released in nearly 40,000 screens, Maharaja saw a huge surge in China doing extremely well there as well.

Maharaja witnessed a big jump on Day 2. The Premieres numbers are in the range of $640K, Day 1 was nearly $540K and Day 2 contributed $1.1 Million. The Day 2 cleary looks as nearly doubling the figures on the opening day. The Total gross collections for 2 days is more than 19 crores. Day 3 also has started strong with the result of a positive word of mouth.

Maharaja has all the chances of grossing 100 crores from China in the long run alone if all goes well. This will surely be a great news for the Makers and Vijay Sethupathi as well.

Mohan Babu vs Nani?

Tollywood Actor, Mohan Babu is rumoured to play the antagonist role in Actor Nani’s upcoming film, The Paradise. The film is directed by Srikanth Odela who directed Nani’s previous film, Dasara. The combo has joined the hands once again and promised to deliver a much bigger film than their Dasara. Likewise, Mohan Babu is speculated to have come onboard for the film.

Prabhas’ OG cameo: Makers clarify

OG starring Pawan Kalyan is directed by Sujeeth. There have been plenty of rumours that the Director is focussing on creating a Universe on both OG and his previous film, Saaho starring Prabhas. It is also getting speculated that Prabhas would make a Cameo appearance in the climax portion of OG as part of this universe. Now, Makers of OG, DVV Entertainments have clarified about this on their official X/Twitter handle.

The Makers have responded funnily about the rumour pushing it aside. They have confirmed that OG will not have a cameo of Prabhas. This has ended the speculation as well. Prabhas is working for nearly 7 films currently which will have releases in the coming 5 years along. The Actor is also playing a cameo role in Manchu Vishnu starrer Kannappa for which his look has also been leaked recently.

Prabhas wouldn’t be acting in any film other than these commitments. On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan is yet to take part in the shoot of OG completely. He is concentrating more on his political activities and looking to complete the shoot slowly. OG is expected to release on 27th September next year.
