Pushpa 2: Midnight shows cancelled in Bengaluru

Pushpa 2 starring Allu Arjun is all set for release from this midnight with the premiere shows. These shows have also been planned in other states like in Bengaluru, Karnataka for fans and audience. Now, Kannada Film Producers Association took objection to these screenings of premiere shows with exorbitant prices of more than ₹1000. They appealed to cancel these midnight shows which have also been okayed by the Bengaluru District Collector. This came as a shocker for the team of Pushpa 2.

The Association argued that there have been no midnight shows allowed in Karnataka before 6 AM and appealed to continue the same tradition for Pushpa 2 as well to control the prices which would facilitate for regional films in Karnataka. The District Collector of Bengaluru has also reacted to this and ordered against the screening of midnight shows in Bengaluru. He has directed the concerned authorities as well to maintain his orders.

Well, there are just 3 hours left for the commencement of the midnight show planned at 9:30 PM and this is definitely a disappointment for the team of Pushpa 2. If not allowed, they have to go ahead with the regular shows starting from 6 AM from tomorrow onwards.

Pushpa 2 has already crossed 100 crore advance mark in India alone which is a huge achievement for any film which struggles to put 100 crore mark worldwide. This enlightens how big the factor of Pushpa 2 is among the fans and audience.

The Overseas bookings are at 35 crores currently. Before the regular shows commencement, the film is all set to cross 150 crore bookings for the opening day which is just phenomenal. A total of 280 crores gross is expected worldwide for the opening day. This will surely be a record breaking opening for any film.

Allu Arjun is all set to establish many All Time Records in his name with Pushpa 2 if the same momentum continues for few weekends worldwide. Pushpa 2 is already speculated of grossing 1000 crores worldwide with just a decent talk and word of mouth. It can go well beyond if it secures a unanimous positive talk.

The much-awaited day is finally here with Pushpa 2 premieres happening tonight and the movie being set for a grand release tomorrow. Pushpa 2 1st day is set to get off to a roaring start. The movie has already set a record in advance bookings. Before the premieres start India’s advance bookings will be in the range of 100 Cr with overseas advances being around $4.5 million.

In Telugu states, the movie is expected to start in the range of 110 Cr gross including premieres while Karnataka is expected to bring in around Rs 18 crores with premieres. Kerala estimates are in the range of 7 Cr while Tamil Nadu projections stand at Rs 8 crores.

North India, which is an extremely crucial market for Pushpa 2 success is expected to rake in Rs 70 crores bringing all India day 1 gross collections to Rs 213 crores. Overseas gross collections are expected to be around 70 crores bringing worldwide figure to a massive Rs 283 crores including premieres and hires in Telugu states.

The current record stands with RRR which did around Rs 225 Cr business. So Puhspa 2 will comfortably cross this one with a minimum of 50 Cr margin.
