Tollywood Producer Dil Raju and few celebrities of Tollywood as a delegation met Telangana CM Revanth Reddy today. The meeting got prominence amid the Government and the CM’s stern stand against Allu Arjun who was recently jailed for a stampede incident which resulted in the cancellation of benefit shows and ticket hikes for further films. The celebs expected the CM to concede but they got a shock in return with no signs of assurance. But Surprisingly, Dil Raju says that benefit shows and ticket hikes are not important for them.

Dil Raju said that they don’t care about the benefit shows or ticket hikes when several other issues had to be dealt first as reminded by the CM. With this statement, the Producer has really shocked everyone. This means that his upcoming film, Game Changer wouldn’t get any benefit shows or ticket hikes in Telangana causing a big loss to him personally. The meeting which was even scheduled for the same hasn’t yielded fruitful results and feels unnecessary one now.

This statement of Dil Raju really sounded interesting. The Producer or the team should only hope of getting a great positive response for a good run. If the film secures a negative response, the film then has to take a big beating without the presence of ticket hikes. Let alone, the opening day and weekend records which can only be possible with these ticket hikes.

Ticket Hikes and Benefit Shows are not important, says Dil Raju. The Telugu Film Industry had a meeting with the Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy this morning. After meeting with government Dil Raju, the renowned producer of the industry said that the government and industry are colloborating for a big vision which would take Telugu Cinema Industry to the international or global level.

While talking about benefit shows and ticket hikes, Dil Raju said it is a very minor issue. According to him, the agenda for meeting was to take the industry to the next level. Ticket Hikes and Benefit Shows are not important, says Dil Raju.

Dil Raju is in a position where he definitely needs to balance both the government and industry. But everyone felt that today’s meeting would benefit the industry in wake of the recent issues as government directly said they would stick to their words earlier.

Ram Charan’s 250 feet cutout for Game Changer

Ram Charan’s 250 feet cutout will be put for Game Changer event. Reportedly, there is a biggest cutout of Ram Charan to be unveiled soon. It is widely known that Ram Charan’s Game Changer is all set to be released in theaters worldwide on January 10, 2025.

The latest reports suggest that the biggest cutout of Charan is all set to be unveiled on December 29th at Vajra Grounds, in Vijayawada at 4 PM. What is more surprising is this will be the Indian’s biggest cutout with 250 feet. The previous biggest cutout size is 230 feet.  Ram Charan’s 250 feet cutout will be put for Game Changer event, and this news will excite his fans.

Meanwhile, the trailer of Game Changer will be launched on 27th December at Yousuf Guda grounds, Hyderabad. Megastar Chiranjeevi is supposed to attend the event as a chief guest, but there is no official confirmation on this. Another pre-release event of Game Changer will be reportedly held in Rajahmundry on January 04. with an exciting rumor of Pawan Kalyan attending the event as chief guest.

Tollywood gets a shock as Telangana govt says there will be no ticket hikes or benefit shows allowed. It is widely known that since the Sandhya theater stampede incident, the Telangana CM, Revanth Reddy has concentrated on Telugu Film Industry. 

Today the industry people met the Telangana government, and everyone expected that the industry people would convince the govt regarding the benefit shows and ticket hikes along with some other issues. However, surprisingly the government declares a mandate and instructed few more for them. Tollywood gets a shock as Telangana govt says there will be no ticket hikes or benefit shows allowed.

Government Mandates for Tollywood:

  • Actors to participate in campaigns for the Caste Census Survey.
  • Heroes, heroines and Industry to lead anti-drug awareness campaigns.
  • No benefit shows or arbitrary ticket price hikes.
  • Mandatory anti-drug videos in theaters before screenings.
  • Special cess on movie tickets.

“We are not against Tollywood. We are at the forefront of solving the problems of Tollywood. We will form a committee on the request to provide more concessions for shooting in Telangana. Film events will be allowed only if there are prior permissions and adequate security. There won’t be any more benefit shows. We stand by what we have said in the Assembly: CM Revanth Reddy”.

Right from the announcement itself, the film, Pushpa 2: The Rule was expected to shatter many box office records and the film lived up to the expectations and became a massive blockbuster at the box office. Game Changer needs 100 Cr in Hindi to Succeed. It is widely known that Ram Charan’s next film, Game Changer, is directed by Shankar. Due to multiple delays during the filming, the movie went overbudget and Shankar’s films often go on overbudget because of his lavish making style.

The film needs to collect 300 Cr theatrical share for its producer, Dil Raju to be in a good position. There is a high possibility fpr the film to do 200 Cr share worldwide in Telugu. In Tamil with the help of Shankar’s brand, it can go beyond 50 Cr gross and 25 Cr share. To cross the 300 Cr breakeven mark, the film must need a strong collection from the North India, and it gather at least 100 Cr net in Hindi. Game Changer needs 100 Cr in Hindi to Succeed.

If the Hindi version manages to collect more than 100 Cr net, Tamil has to do more than 50 Cr gross, while the Telugu version has to go more than 200 Cr share worldwide which will put Dil Raju in a breakeven position. If Game Changer collects more than the expected numbers, it will be a profitable venture for the producer. In short, Game Changer should beat Salaar’s worldwide [600 Cr gross] total to achieve breakeven for Dil Raju.

Pushpa 2: Record Breaking Collections in Nepal

Pushpa 2 collected record breaking collections in Nepal. The action drama starring Icon Star Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar is creating a new record every day with its sensational run at the theaters. Recently, the film created history by crossing the 650 Cr net in Hindi and it has now reached another milestone.

Pushpa 2 has collected 25Cr NPR[ 15.7 Cr Indian Rupees]. This is the biggest collection for an Indian film in Nepal, with the previous best performer being KGF 2 with 20Cr NPR collection. Sukumar faces heat for Pushpa 2

Sukumar faces heat for Pushpa 2. While talking about Allu Arjun’s Sandhya Theatre tragedy, everyone is criticizing the film’s content. It is widely known that an unfortunate incident on December 4th during the Pushpa 2 premiere show has been a piece of news for everyone. 

During this argument, many opine that Pushpa 2 has glamorous songs and it consists sof cenes that disrespect the police and government officials by showing a smuggler as ruler. All the politicians criticize Sukumar for making such kind of a film. Sukumar faces heat for Pushpa 2.

If we look at the commercial perspective, Pushpa 2 is a big success, and it collected close to 1500 Cr gross for 3 weeks which is a sensational feat. However, on the content side, the film satisfied Hindi audiences only, while the South audiences especially Telugu people felt it was the weakest work of Sukumar. Everyone was surprised by the fact that for the first time, Sukumar went completely on a regular commercial path without any surprising elements and with no proper storytelling or finishing. 

Definitely a director like Sukumar not only needs money for the film, but he also needs the appreciation for his work. Normally he gets good appreciation for every film irrespective of his films’ result. But Pushpa 2 is commercially a blockbuster but it brought unexpected criticism for Sukumar.
