Ram Gopal Varma Posts Satire on Game Changer

Ram Gopal Varma posts a satire on Game Changer. Nothing is going in favor of Game Changer, the latest Political Action Drama starring Ram Charan and directed by Game Changer. The film was released in theaters worldwide on January 10, 2025. It received mixed responses from audiences and failed to match its potential at the box office.

There was a targeted campaign on the film on social media, and even its HD print was leaked online. The team of the film lodged a complaint to the Cyber Crime Department. Meanwhile, the veteran filmmaker RGV, who is always in one or another controversy, has started another one. The X (Twitter) is buzzing currently as Ram Gopal Varma posts a satire on Game Changer.

RGV said that if Game Changer’s budget is 450 cr then RRR, for its extraordinary and never-before-seen visual appeal should have cost 4500 cr and if GC’s first-day collections are 186 cr on day 1, then PUSHPA 2 collections should have been 1,860 cr. Ultimately, he said that the box office numbers should be believable. He indirectly said that Game Changer’s team is posting fake collections.

Game Changer not picking up

Game Changer witnessed a big drop on Day 2 and even more downfall on Day 3 indicating a danger bell for the team. The film is expected to take a massive jump on Day 4 with the advantage of the Sankranthi festival but the collections have started on a lesser note than Day 3. This shows that Game Changer is not picking up with the poor reviews and word of mouth.

On the other hand, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is slated for release on Sankranthi. If this film opens with a positive word of mouth then Game Changer will surely have a very big impact with Daaku Maharaaj already ruling the roost. The Audience will then definitely prefer these two films over Game Changer.

Only a miracle could change Game Changer’s fate at the box office. The team must now hope on recovering at least 60-70% to put buyers in a safe spot. However, this too looks impossible now the resurgence of Daaku Maharaaj which is showing dominating performance in the theatres.

Dhanush Clashing with Ajith

Dhanush is clashing with Ajith at the box office. It is widely known that Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly was announced for 10th April release. Idly Kadai was announced on the same date a few months ago. Many felt that Dhanush will postpone the film but today, on the occasion of the Pongal festival, the actor/director released two new posters from the film with an April 10th release date.

Idly Kadai is directed by Dhanush, and he will appear as the lead hero. There is already a good buzz on this film. Nithya Menen is his co-star in the film. Dhanush and Nithya are reuniting after the 2022 hit Thiruchitrambalam. The fan wars of Tamil movie fans will be on fire as Dhanush is clashing with Ajith at the box office.

The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash, while Kiran Koushik does the cinematography. Produced under Dhanush’s home production banner Wunderbar Films and Aakash Baskaran’s Dawn Pictures.

Indian 3: Will it go on sets?

Director Shankar suffered a big debacle in the form of Indian 2 last year. The film became a major disaster in Kollywood shocking all. This also raised doubts over the fate of Indian 3 which was to begin filming. However, Indian 3 was put on hold and Shankar went ahead with Game Changer to give a comeback. But Game Changer’s performance after the release repeated the same fate of Indian 2 keeping Indian 3 at risk again.

Some portions of Indian 3 are already shot and the team is planning to go for the shoot from March or April this year. The team has to make sure that the film becomes a huge blockbuster to recover the losses of Indian 2. This is also a risk for the Producer to invest money for the rest of portion shoot.

It will be very interesting to see how the Producers would go forward on this issue. On the other hand, OTT platforms may not offer much for Indian 3 considering the failure of Indian 2. So convincing them for a good price will also be hard.

Game Changer suffered on the opening day with a poor review and word of mouth. The film did decent on the opening day but witnessed a big drop in Telugu States on Day 2. It collected only around 8 crores and Day 3 looks even less than Day 2. The poor response and the arrival of Daaku Maharaaj impacted the film a lot.

For the 1st weekend, Game Changer recovery in Telugu States is just only 40% which is very disappointing. The Sankranthi festival euphoria is set to start tomorrow and Game Changer needs a miraculous jump from there to recover at least 70-80% for the buyers. The Telugu States’ rights are valued at 130 crores and the film must at least get 110 crore+ to make the game safe for the buyers.

So, the team’s hopes are on the Sankranthi festival to get relief. But other film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam release may disturb these hopes of Game Changer which are already shattered by Daaku Maharaaj .

Putting the box office performance aside, there was an attempt to bring a lot of negativity to the film. The team now responds to the conspiracy over the movie. There were a few people on social media who made threats that have been made before the release of ‘Game Changer’. Also, a Pirate print of the film was leaked by the hackers. “There is no need to say anything special about what happens if a star hero who has spent crores upon crores of rupees and has a global image and worked hard for more than three years gets leaked on the release day. On the occasion of Sankranthi, ‘Game Changer’, directed by Shankar and produced by ‘Dil’ Raju and Sirish, starring global star Ram Charan as the hero, was leaked online on the release day. There is a gang of about 45 people behind this.

Before the release of ‘Game Changer’, some key people in the film team along with the producers received threats from some people on social media and WhatsApp. They started a fight, saying that they would leak a pirated print of the film if they did not give the amount they asked for. Two days before the release of ‘Game Changer’, key twists in the film were shared on social media accounts. After the release, not only was the HochD print leaked… they shared it with everyone on Telegram and social media.

The team has filed a cybercrime complaint, along with evidence, against 45 people who threatened the ‘Game Changer’ film crew and leaked the pirated print. Did those 45 people form a gang and spread negativity about ‘Game Changer’? Did they leak the pirated print? Or is there someone behind them? It remains to be seen. The cybercrime police, which has taken up the case, is investigating. The truth is expected to come to light after the investigation.

Many people have spread negativity on ‘Game Changer’ as per a scheme on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) pages. Along with sharing clips of the film, they have also revealed key twists and prevented the audience from enjoying the film. Complaints have also been registered on those pages. It has been informed that action will be taken on those social media pages soon.”

Jailer 2 Title is not Hukum

The most awaited sequel of the blockbuster Jailer is all set for its announcement. There were rumors that the film’s title was fixed as Hukum. However, as per sources, the team is not considering this title for the sequel. The title was fixed as Jailer 2 in the Announcement Teaser which is slated for a theatrical release tomorrow.

The Announcement Teaser will be of the length of 2 minutes and 23 seconds as seen from the censor formalities today. The Teaser will be screened in a few select theatres at 6 PM tomorrow. There are huge expectations on the sequel with Jailer becoming a sensational blockbuster grossing more than 600 crores worldwide.

On its release day during Sankranti, a pirated version of the film was leaked online by a group reportedly consisting of around 45 individuals. 

Before the release, the film’s producers and a few team members were threatened through social media and messaging platforms like WhatsApp. The culprits demanded money from producers and threatened to leak the pirated version if their demands were not fulfilled. Two days before the release, important plot twists were spitefully shared on social media. After the release, an HD pirated print was leaked on various internet platforms and Telegram.

The film’s team officially filed a complaint with Cybercrime police and provided evidence against the 45 individuals involved in these criminal activities. An investigation is underway to find whether this group committed these crimes independently or as a group or had any external support. 

Also, a planned campaign was conducted on internet through social media pages on various platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, to spread negativity about the film. A few key clips and important sequences from the film were intentionally leaked to destroy audience enjoyment. The team lodged formal complaints against these pages and has been assured that necessary actions will be taken soon.
