Devara, OG USA Trend: From Bumper Openings to Average Run

The USA run of NTR’s Devara and Pawan Kalyan’s OG is similar from opening to full run. Both the films had bumper openings, but the afterward run is average. 

During the USA premieres, Devara and OG opened bigger than Baahubali 2 and Salaar and went closer to Pushpa 2, RRR, and Kalki. But in the long run the films did not see much bigger numbers.

Devara opened with $2.8M in premieres and ended up with $6.07M, with the Telugu version grossing $5.5M. The premiere number is slightly higher than Day 1 to closing. Definitely $5.5M is a big number, but for such a massive start, it could have at least done $7M in the full run.

The same with OG, as it opens much bigger than Devara with $3.1M, but the final run is likely to be around the Telugu version of NTR’s film. The Premier’s number is much higher from day 1 to closing numbers, and if we compare the long run, its trend is weaker than Devara’s.

Overall, Pawan Kalyan’s OG and NTR’s Devara were huge blockbusters in America and gave huge profits for the makers, but their overall numbers are a bit disappointing.

The film collected 280 Cr gross worldwide for 11 days, and it is expected to have a decent run till the Diwali festival.
