Actress Nayanthara shared a heartfelt message online where she spoke out against the title ‘Lady Superstar,’ which her fans and admirers have given her with love. Even though she appreciates the love from her behind the title, she has asked her fans to just call her Nayanthara and not Lady Superstar.

In her message, Nayanthara explained that while titles and awards are important, they also lead to a gap between an actor and their work. To her, the name Nayanthara reflects who she really is—not just as an actress but as a person. Netizens are applauding the actress as  Nayanthara requests her fans not to call her Lady Superstar.

The actress wrote, “Many of you have graciously referred to me as ‘Lady Superstar,” a title born out of your immense affection. I owe you all a lot for crowning me with such a valuable title. However, I humbly request you all to call me “Nayanthara.” This is because I feel that the name is what I hold closest to my heart. It represents who I am not just as an actor but as an individual. Titles and accolades are priceless, but they can sometimes create an image that separates us from our work, our craft, and the unconditional bond we share with you, the audience, (sic).”

She added, “I believe we all share the language of love that keeps us connected beyond all limits. While the future might be unpredictable for all of us, I’m so happy that your unfading support will remain constant, and so will my hard work to entertain you. Cinema is what keeps us united, and let us keep celebrating it together (sic).”

Nayanthara is waiting for the release of her new movie, Test, which will be available to stream on Netflix soon. The exact release date will be shared shortly. Ajith’s recent theatrical release, Vidaamuyarchi, was a big disappointment in the theaters. The film had a good first day at the box office and registered a career-best opening number for the star. However, it failed to have a decent run at the theaters after the first weekend. Surprisingly, Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi overtakes Daaku Maharaaj on Netflix now.

Daaku Maharaaj scored a massive success upon its OTT release, and it took the OTT giant Netflix by storm. The action drama started trending at the no. 1 position in India and was listed in the top 10 in many countries, making a global impact. 

Now the position of Daaku has been replaced on Netflix on the 1st day itself by Ajith-Magizh Thirumeni’s film. Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi overtakes Daaku Maharaaj on Netflix. The film started streaming on OTT yesterday.

It is widely known that Ajith is a big star, and the film received below-par word of mouth upon its theatrical release. Also, most of the people waited for the OTT release because of such weak talk. That is the reason for the film trending in the No. 1 position immediately in India.

Vidaamuyarchi is receiving a similar kind of review from OTT audiences too, as most of the viewers say that it has a decent first half but was diluted by a dull second half. OTT audiences also felt that the film was too stretched, and it is receiving mixed responses, much like the theatrical release.

The movie is available for streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Netflix bought Vidaamuyarchi for a huge price, which is said to be around 70 Cr. So, they need massive viewership for the valued rights.

Vishwambhara starring Chiranjeevi is being planned as a heavy budgeted spectacle directed by Vassishta. The film’s Teaser has been released long back which received criticism for its VFX work. The team got alerted and worked again on the VFX which is said to have increased budget drastically. The pre-business of the film wasn’t as impressive as expected by the team because of this poor Teaser.

The makers are also yet to announce the release date despite the film nearing its completion. The reason for this is also said to be because of the OTT deals issue. Vishwambhara seems to be not getting the right deal from the OTT giants, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Remaining OTT platforms couldn’t offer the quoted amount by the team. It is also learnt that Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are stepping back for this quoted price.

The team needs to surely deliver extraordinary content to showcase the grand scale of the film. The deals can be locked only then and the team can definitely not schedule the release date without the OTT deal. We also must see how the producers achieve the breakeven mark for this Mega budgeted film before the release.

There will be a deficit for the Producers before the release due to the massive budget and the film needs to perform big in Telugu and Hindi as well to recover. Recently, the team completed an introduction song composed by MM Keeravaani and picturized on Chiranjeevi in a massive set in Hyderabad. The film also stars Trisha, Ashika Ranganathan, Kunal Kapoor, with Sai Dharam Tej and Niharika Konidela playing cameo roles.

After creating a rampage in theatres, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is now continuing the same on OTTs. On Zee5, the comedy entertainer witnessed massive viewership within a very short period. Sankranthiki Vasthunam has now registered 200 million viewing minutes in just 48 hours, breaking yet another record. The film has gone beyond even RRR & Hanuman numbers on Zee 5.
