Roshan’s Costly Mistake Ends in a Major Misfire

0

Srikanth’s son Meka Roshan made his debut with Pelli Sandadi under Raghavendra Rao’s guidance, which was a big success. But Roshan did a big mistake by taking a long gap for his next film, Champion.

Pelli Sandadi was a blockbuster debut for the hero, Roshan, and the heroine, Sree Leela, as both received good names, and the actress is still receiving continuous offers with that craze.

His performance gets the name,, but the movie did not work at the box office, resulting in a failure. After a big success with his first film, Meka Roshan took 4 years of time and dropped Champion, but it failed at the box office.

Young heroes playing larger-than-life characters is a massive risk, and spending a lot of time on one project is more risk. Roshan attempted both risks,, and it misfired badly. He needs to learn a lesson from this and should try to do familiar and quick projects according to his age and image.

Sandeep Vanga Hangover: Advantage or Overdose

0

The first look of Spirit was released on New Year’s night and received a sensational response. However, a section of the audience feels that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is still in hangover of his previous films.

The makers of Spirit did not announce the release date, which disappointed many fans. As mentioned earlier, while a large number of people liked the first look and are excited about the film, another group raised concerns. They feel the first look is not very refreshing and looks similar to the worlds of Arjun Reddy and Animal.

Some viewers believe that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is still stuck in the hangover of his earlier films and is repeating the same kind of character portrayals. On the other hand, many people feel this is his signature style, and audiences actually expect this kind of storytelling from him.

At this point, only the first look of Spirit has been released, and it is too early to judge the story or characters. But the first look has already sparked an online debate, with some viewers seeing the similarities as a positive trait, while others consider it a negative sign of repetition.

Premiere Battle in USA: Jana Nayagan Leads, The Raja Saab Trails

0

Two big films from South Indian cinema, Jana Nayagan and The Raja Saab, are releasing on 9th January. Jana Nayagan leads Prabhas and Maruthi’s film in the USA premieres battle set on 8th January.

If we observe the business or market, The Raja Saab has to do more than double Jana Nayagan’s numbers, but the advance sales are not going in the expected lines. Jana Nayakudu is carrying massive craze as it is the last film of Vijay, but Prabhas’s horror comedy does not carry much buzz for now.

In North America, The Raja Saab’s pre-sales are at $350K, whereas Jana Nayagan is carrying $400K in pre-sales, which means it is leading in the USA premieres battle. The shocking part is The Raja Saab’s bookings were opened in over 1000 shows, whereas Jana Nayagan’s is just between 500 shows. Still, Vijay’s film has sold more tickets, which is not a good sign for The Raja Saab.

The Raja Saab needs a big push in advances in this crucial release week, or else it will register a very average opening at the box office.

Rajamouli’s Varanasi has all the chances to become the next biggest grosser for Telugu

His upcoming film Varanasi with Mahesh Babu has a strong chance of becoming the next highest-grossing Telugu film. In Tamil cinema, Jana Nayagan and Jailer 2 are expected to challenge existing records. In Hindi, Dhurandhar is close to becoming the biggest grosser, and its sequel also has the potential to repeat the success.

In Malayalam cinema, Drishyam 3 is expected to aim for record-breaking collections. In Kannada, only another film from the Kantara franchise seems capable of surpassing the current record. It will be interesting to see which films enter the list of the biggest grossers by language in Indian cinema in the coming years.

Aadi Saikumar’s Shambhala turns into a sensational blockbuster, and today, on New Year’s Day, the film registered its biggest day at the box office. The film once again proves that content wins over big combinations and massive budgets.

Shambhala: Small Film – Big Success

Many films have been released for Christmas, but Shambhala emerges as the winner at the box office, and with the help of New Year’s Day, it adds more numbers. The film has collected around 15 Cr gross till now, and it is set to do more than 20 Cr gross in its full run.

Aadi Saikumar, who was struggling for big success for a long time, has made a strong comeback at the box office, and let us hope that the actor continues to score successes hereafter.

Dhurandhar Beats Pushpa 2, Rewrites Hindi Cinema Records

0

Continuing its sensational box office run, Dhurandhar becomes the highest-grossing Hindi film, beating Pushpa 2 and Jawan (₹1050 Cr), and is now heading towards the ₹1100 Cr milestone.

It has also become only the second film to collect ₹700 Cr nett in the Hindi version in India, after Pushpa 2 (₹730 Cr). The film is all set to become the No.1 film for Bollywood this weekend.

The film has emerged as the highest Hindi grosser even without a Gulf release, which is a sensational feat. Had it released in the Gulf, the movie could have added around ₹100 Cr more to its revenue. Even without that market, the film is now looking to close at around ₹1200 Cr worldwide.

Apart from beating Pushpa 2, Dhurandhar has also created a milestone of collecting double-digit nett for 4 weeks, which is an all-time record, showing how strong the film’s run is at the box office.

Psyche Siddhartha Review: Good Concept-Average Execution

0

Movie Name: Psyche Siddhartha
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast:
Nandu, Yamini Bhaskar, Priyanka Rebeka Srinivas, N Simha, Sukesh Reddy, and others
Director: Varun Reddy
Produced By:
Shyam Sunder Reddy Thudi and Nandu
Release Date: 1st January 2026

Psyche Siddhartha features Nandu (who was recently seen in Dhandoraa) in the lead role after a long gap, with Yamini Bhaskar as the female lead. The film’s posters and promos hinted at a crazy character-driven drama. Let us find out how the film has come out in the following review.

Story:

Siddharth (played by Nandu) is cheated by his girlfriend Trisha (Priyanka Rebeka Srinivas). She betrays him by supporting Mansoor (Sukesh Reddy), who starts a business with Siddharth as his partner. Trisha and Mansoor get into a relationship and force Siddharth out of the company. After losing all his money, Siddharth rents a small apartment in a poor neighborhood and struggles to even pay his rent.

In the same building, Shrāvya (Yamini Bhaskar) moves into the apartment below him. She has recently left her abusive husband after suffering physical and sexual violence. The story focuses on how Siddharth and Shrāvya meet, how their lives change, and how they support each other.

Performances:

Nandu puts in a sincere effort and portrays Siddharth well. He tries to carry the film on his own and does well in several scenes. Yamini Bhaskar delivers a natural and emotionally strong performance, especially in key moments. Simha N. gives a decent performance as Revanth, and Priyanka Rebeka Srinivas suits her role as Trisha.

Analysis:

For his directorial debut, Varun Reddy attempts to create interesting characters and present the story with a unique visual style. While some scenes show his potential, he fails to tell the story in a clear and impactful way.

The idea of two broken people falling in love is not new. But the relationship between the lead characters is not developed well enough to feel convincing. They are brought together too quickly, without showing a strong emotional bond. Siddharth’s pain, heartbreak, and financial struggles fail to create sympathy, and his attitude often feels unnatural.

In contrast, Shrāvya’s suffering and vulnerability are portrayed more effectively and connect better with the audience. Some comedy scenes in the middle work well and provide brief relief.

The opening scenes are stretched in the name of fun, but end up being irritating. The first half of the film feels weak overall. The second half is better and has more engaging moments, with the final thirty minutes being fairly okay.

Positives:

  • Nandu and Yamini Bhaskar’s Performances
  • Few Fun Moments
  • Crucial Scenes in the Second Half

Negatives:

  • First Half
  • Annoying Dosage of Vulgarity in Several Scenes
  • Weak Emotional Impact

Psyche Siddhartha Review and Verdict:

Overall, Psyche Siddhartha features convincing performances from the lead actors and an interesting concept, with a few strong scenes in the second half. But the storytelling feels incomplete and uneven, resulting in an ordinary output.
