Empuraan Trailer Sets High Expectations

0

Mohanlal’s Empuraan is already carrying a massive buzz in Malayalam. The advance bookings are unprecedented for the Malayalam industry, and the film’s advances crossed the 10 Cr mark with overseas bookings alone. The Empuraan trailer was released this morning, and it takes the expectations to a new level.

The trailer promises a world-class cinematic experience from the Malayalam film industry, with Prithviraj at the helm and Mohanlal’s electrifying screen presence adding to the spectacle. The stunning visuals and the non-linear storytelling and screenplay make this a true game-changer, setting the stage for a massive box-office impact.

With such buzz, the film is poised to deliver a record-breaking opening for Malayalam cinema. As said above, L2E is already having a big craze, and the Empuraan trailer takes the expectations to a new level.

With this trailer, the film also creates some set of good expectations in Telugu as well. If the WOM comes positive, then it is likely to see good numbers in Telugu, but the biggest negative for the film is releasing in heavy competition with MAD Square, Robinhood, and Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran. All the films are releasing on the same weekend.

The film received good attention from audiences and media because of Nani’s involvement in the production. Also, the positive reactions from the Paid Premiers drew large audiences to theaters. So, with good pre-release hype and positive talk, the film emerged as a big success.

The film’s story mirrored real-world concerns, engaging the audience. This movie concentrates on the characters’ emotional journeys rather than traditional courtroom conflicts. 0

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has penned a letter to the online ticketing platform, Book My Show. The Chamber presented few demands which have shocked the platform.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the Chamber urged to take measures to prevent fake or paid reviews. They have requested to opt for:

Revenue Sharing: Share a fair percentage (50-75%) of the revenue generated from Kannada Films with the Producers or authorized distributors (and not with the exhibitors), to be determined through amicable discussions.
Permission Protocol: Implement a system to obtain explicit permission from Producers or authorized distributors before facilitating ticket bookings for Kannada films.
Transparency in Revenue: Disclose the revenue generated from Kannada Films since the inception of the ticket booking fee and provide detailed reports.
Temporary Suspension of Rating System: Suspend the rating system immediately after receiving this letter for Kannada films until corrective measures are in place to ensure its authenticity.

The Chamber also threatened to initiate legal action against Book My Show if it failed to respond or attend the meeting within 15 days.

Dil Raju’s Next: A Massive Pan-India Film in the Making

0

Producer Dil Raju tasted huge success with his latest film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which was released in theaters for Sankranti 2025. At the same festival, the producer faced a big failure with Ram Charan and Shankar’s Game Changer. Now, the interesting update is that Dil Raju’s next film will be a massive Pan-India film.

As said above, even though Game Changer disappointed the SVC banner in a big way, it immediately got a big relief with Sankranthiki Vasthunam. With that, Dil Raju signed the films continually, but he is taking extra care of the budgets and content as well.

Dil Raju to make a Massive Pan-India Film

He also said that he will concentrate on the content and will not run after combos. Now, Dil Raju’s next film will be a massive Pan-India film and the renowned producer teams up with Marco director Haneef Adeni for this film.

The film is also said to be a multi-starrer, and as of now the details of the stars/actors who will lead the film are yet to be known. More details will be available very soon. Dil Raju Productions’ official social media handle posts a hint on this film.

Empuraan Storm: Overseas Pre-Sales Break Records with a Week to Go

0

Mohanlal’s Empuraan still has a week to release, and the trailer is yet to be released; still, the advance bookings are going on a record-breaking note, which has never been seen before in Malayalam cinema. Especially, Empuraan’s overseas pre-sales broke records with a week to go for the theatrical release.

Mohanlal’s Empuraan Smashing Records with Advance Bookings Itself

The overseas pre-sales for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial are said to be in the 900K range, which is the best ever pre-sales total for any Malayalam film till now. Within a few hours it will emerge as the 1st 1 million overseas pre-sales for a Malayalam film, and it will not end there.

It targets 1.5M-2M pre-sales at this pace. The trade is not able to predict what kind of opening it takes due to this sensational trending. Marakkar, with a 1.6M opening, is the biggest start for Mollywood overseas, and Empuraan is on track to beat this with just pre-sales alone very soon.

The trailer of L2: Empuraan is releasing tomorrow; if the trailer also clicks, then the openings will pick up much more momentum. Mohanlal’s Empuraan’s overseas pre-sales broke records with a week to go for the theatrical release, and the fans are happy that an event film for Mollywood is showing the real potential of the Malayalam box office.

The makers of L2E are doing promotions at a pan-India level, and they are expecting the movie will also make some money in other languages as well.

Thaman Under Fire

0

Renowned Tollywood music composer S. Thaman is currently at the peak of his career, delivering back-to-back projects. His chartbuster songs from ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Trivikram, captivated audiences nationwide, earning him the prestigious National Award for Best Music Director. While Thaman remains busy with multiple projects, his recent comments have stirred controversy on social media.

This Sankranti, Thaman composed music for two major releases—Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ and Balakrishna’s ‘Daaku Maharaj’. While ‘Game Changer’ turned out to be a massive disaster, ‘Daaku Maharaj’ received a relatively better response. However, neither film’s audio managed to make a lasting impact, with ‘Game Changer’ in particular receiving heavy criticism.
In a recent interview, Thaman claimed that the entire ‘Game Changer’ team was responsible for the album’s failure. He also pointed out that even ‘Daaku Maharaj’s’ soundtrack did not significantly elevate the film’s success. His remark that Sankranthi releases became hits without a single hook step in the songs was perceived as sarcasm.

Netizens quickly reacted, questioning why DJs and social media influencers could create viral dance numbers while high-budget compositions failed. Critics argued that if success relied solely on steps, producers wouldn’t invest crores in music directors. Thaman’s comments have sparked debate, putting him at the center of yet another controversy.
