The latest news is that a big pan-India film will unite the Fighter actor with the renowned production house. As said above, Hombale Films stands out as a big banner, as it has successful movies such as “K.G.F: Chapter 1” and “K.G.F: Chapter 2,” “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” and “Kantara.”

As far as now, the details on the project’s genre, timeline, and other cast remain undisclosed by both sides. The fans are excited as Hrithik Roshan joins hands with Hombale Films.

Hombale Films founder Vijay Kiragandur expressed great satisfaction with this collaboration. The producer stated that they aim to share inspiring stories that cross boundaries, and collaborating with Hrithik Roshan advances that vision, creating a film that blends intensity and imagination on a large scale. He stated that their aim is to provide a strong and lasting experience.

Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan, who was last seen on big screens in Fighter as a lead hero and in a cameo in Tiger 3, is all set to arrive with the spy action thriller WAR 2, co-starring NTR, on August 14, 2025.

Akhanda 2 release date postponed?

Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam starring Balakrishna is one of the most awaited films of Tollywood. The film is the official sequel of Akhanda, which became one of the biggest blockbusters in 2021, grossing more than 130 crores worldwide. The official Pooja ceremony of the film also happened, kick-starting the shoot of the film.

The team initially planned the release date on 25th September worldwide. However, OG starring Pawan Kalyan is also aiming to release on the same date, inviting a clash. To avoid this, the makers have mostly decided postponing the film to another date. They are currently looking at the option of choosing December month.

One more biggie, The Raja Saab starring Prabhas, is learnt to have fixed December 5th as the release date. So, Akhanda 2 must arrive during the Christmas season or the Sankranthi season next year. Akhanda also released in December and became a blockbuster. So, it has to be seen if the makers do this or stick to the original release plan of September 25th.

Mass Jathara release date locked

Mass Jathara starring Ravi Teja is currently under shoot. The film stars Sree Leela in the female lead role, directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu. The film’s Glimpse and the first Single, Tu Mera Lover, were also released so far raising good hype. Now, the team has also locked the release date.

It is learnt that Mass Jathara will be releasing on 27th August worldwide. The team earlier planned the Sankranthi season, which was later moved to May and July. But August seemed a better option for the film’s release with the advantage of festive holidays of Vinayaka Chathurthi and no biggies were also releasing.

The official Announcement is also said to happen soon. Ravi Teja, on the other hand, looks to make a comeback with Mass Jathara. His previous film, Mr. Bachchan, became a miserable failure at the box office. So, Mass Jathara will definitely be a crucial film for him.

The inspections of theaters across AP are being done under a joint operation of revenue and police officials. Reportedly, mass raids on theatres Across Andhra Pradesh are being conducted on the orders of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. 

The DCM suggested getting the details of safety measures taken in theaters and whether they have proper facilities. Also, he stressed the importance of checking the price table in theatre canteens and the rate at which they are being sold to the audiences.

Telugu States Theatres: Exhibitors’ Genuine Concern turned into a Political Issue

At first, the issue of Telugu States’ theatre owners started with an honest intention. The exhibitors said it was not possible to screen movies on a rental basis, and theaters would run only if payments were made on a percentage basis. 

The meeting between the exhibitors and distributors was attended by 60 exhibitors, including producers Dil Raju and Suresh Babu. However, after this meeting, the reports went viral on social media that four key people in the industry were behind the decision to shut down the theaters.

It was said that they pressured and hatched a conspiracy to block the release of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu,’ which led to the miscommunication between the Telugu film industry and DCM.
