The first name which comes to mind when someone talks about comedian is Brahmanandam who is popularly known as Bramhi. He acted in more than 1000 films and hold Guinness World Records. From the past few years is hardly seen in just 2-3 films as filmmakers are going with many new comedians.
Lastly, he appeared in Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo, Ram Gopal Varma’s Amma Rajyamloo Kadappa Bidalu, and Varun Tej’s Gadhalakonda Ganesh. Now the latest news is that a leading entertainment channel has approached Brahamanandam for a comedy serial and seems that Bramhi is also showing interest to make his appearance on the small screen. This is not the first time for Brahamanandam, earlier he appeared as a judge for a comedy show which failed to entertain the audience. But this time he is making sure of everything to win viewers heats. The pre-production work is going as of now and much more details regarding are still awaited.
The first half of 2020 has been completed with lots of unexpected moments. Everyone has expected a blockbuster 2020 with many anticipated films releasing this year but the situation is quite the opposite. Though 2020 has started with a bang, Corona outbreak has completely changed the scenario.
Starting from 1st January to 18th March there were around 34 release’s which grossed around ₹650Crs out of these 34 films 9 of them were noted releases. Only 4 films in the first half of 2020 were successful at the box-office. Here’s the collection report of few films that released in 2020.

A sequel for a successful film is not new to our industry but this sequel is quite interesting. Recently a film which is produced by leading production houses has released its film directly on the OTT platform. This film has generated a good response from the audience and critics as well.
We are talking about the film “Krishna And His Leela” which stars Sidhu Jonnalagadda, Shraddha Srinath, Seerat Kapoor, and Shalini Vadnikatti in the lead roles. Apparently, this is the first film that was successful after a series of disasters that directly released on OTT platforms. Recently actor Sidhu has confirmed that there are planning for the sequel of this film which will be a continuation for Krishna And His Leela. Seerat Kapoor will be the lead actress and other details regarding this project will be revealed soon. As Krishna And His Leela is trending on Netflix, Telugu OTT platform Aha has decided to start streaming this film on their platform too. This film will be even available on the Aha platform from 4th July.
OTT platforms are now ruling the digital world with various types of content, Creative directors are eyeing on new ideas to keep viewers stick on to their OTT platform. Tollywood Producer Allu Aravind who started an OTT platform “Aha Video” is looking for all possibilities to stand in this competitive era.
As we reported earlier about Tamannaah’s signing a project for Aha platform few days back, now there’s news coming about her show. Aha creative team is planning a talkie show with Tamannaah Bhatia rather than a web movie. Already there were several talkie shows that were hosted by stars like Manchu Lakshmi, Rana, and few others. Now similar type talkie show were Tamannaah will be interacting with Tollywood stars is being considered which will be streaming episode wise on the Aha platform. If everything goes well it would be good to see a digital talkie show soon and the other details regarding this will be out soon.
Due to the Corona outbreak, all the activities have been halted for more than 60 days. Theaters across India were closed before the official lockdown itself, the same with the film shootings. As there seems to be no control over the situation, the Government has decided to Unlock the activities in phases wise to boost up the economy.
After 3 successful lockdowns by the Indian Government, State Governments have given permission to resume a few activities with guidelines. A few days back, both State Governments have passed G.O to resume film & TV Shoots. Already few films started with yet most precautions in Bollywood and Kollywood, Tollywood industry isn’t ready to move on. Few small budget movies are starting their film shootings in a closed studio. As we reported earlier Ravi Babu’s Crrush was the first Tollywood Film to go on sets Post lockdown and today yet another film resumed its film shoot which is based on Corona Virus, directed by Prasanth Varma. A few days back the First Look of the film has been released which was interesting. Prashant Varma is trying to complete the film in 1-2 schedules and make the graphics done to release it on the OTT platform.

Raj Tarun was introduced with Uyyala Jampala has not seen the commercial success after Kumar 21F. His next movie “Orey Bujjiga” was scheduled to hit the screens on 25th March but left unreleased due to lockdown.
It has been more than 100 days the theatres have been shut down and there is no sign of reopening the theatres for at least till August. Once the theaters get started, the star hero’s films will rush to the theaters and small budget movies have to struggle to find the screens. So, the filmmakers are finding the alternative through the OTT release. Recently, Krishna and his Leela was released on Netflix and received positive reviews. Now Raj Tarun’s Orey Bujjiga is also getting ready to join this list, an official confirmation is yet to be made. This movie features Malavika Nayar and Hebha Patel as female leads. This is the 5th time Raj Tarun is sharing the screen with Hebah Patel. Vijay K Kumar who previously directed Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde and Oka Laila Kosam is directing this film bankrolled by KK Radha Mohan under Sri Satya Sai Art Productions while Anup Rubens has composed the music.
Sankalp Reddy surprised the audiences and critics with his debut film“The Ghazi Attack” featuring Rana Daggupati in the lead role. It was the first water-war film made in India. He handled this complex script very well with a limited budget and received huge applause across the country.
Sankalp is interested in making science and technical films, collaborated with Varun Tej for Athariksham but it did not happen to be a commercial success. The latest sources say that Vidyut Jamwal’s father, an ex-Army Officer watched Ghazi which even released in Hindi. He got impressed with the work of Sankalp Reddy and he asked Sankalp to develop a script based on true events which are taken place in the Indian Army. Sankalp was busy the script work and this film will go on the floors after the lockdown primarily will have its schedules in Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Vidyut Jamwal recently completed Khuda Haafiz and its post-production is being done. On the other hand, Sankalp Reddy is directing the Telugu version of Lust Stories and this is his digital debut.
