One Miss, One Year Loss? Fauzi’s Dasara Deadline

0

Prabhas’s Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is planned to be shot continuously, but the film is in danger of losing its release date by a year. Prabhas has allotted his dates and is joining the shoot this week. The producers, Mythri Movie Makers, are keen on releasing the film this year and are targeting a Dasara release.

The reason to do so is that if the film misses this year’s release, then it could lead to a long delay. A Dasara release this year offers the best conditions for the film. It is expected that Spirit’s promotions will start by the end of this year, given that the film is aiming for a March 2027 release.

Fauzi Release Date gets into a tricky situation

In such a case, Spirit’s promotions could affect Fauzi’s visibility and impact. Releasing Fauzi in early 2026 is also difficult due to scheduling conflicts, and the required gap between releases could push Fauzi to late 2027, increasing costs.

Because of this, Mythri Movie Makers strongly wants Fauzi to release this Dasara. If it misses the slot, there is a risk of a one-year delay. From a strategic point of view, Fauzi should release before Spirit, as releasing after Spirit would raise expectations significantly.

Vishwambhara Becomes Chiranjeevi’s Costliest Film Ever

0

Right from the announcement, the makers went ahead with a record budget for Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara, which was initially planned at ₹200 Cr+. Chiranjeevi’s remuneration alone is said to be around ₹75 Cr for the film.

Due to delays and extensive CG reworks, the latest industry buzz suggests that the film’s budget has now crossed ₹250 Cr. With such a huge budget, Vishwambhara has officially become the costliest film in Chiranjeevi’s career.

Vishwambhara Release Buzz Continues: The Film Needs to Score Massively at the Box Office

The team is yet to announce the official release date, but strong buzz in industry circles indicates that the film is aiming for a July release. Being such a high-budget project, the film must generate massive business to recover the investments and lock huge distribution deals.

The upcoming promotional content is expected to showcase the film’s grand scale and stunning visuals, which need to impress audiences big time. Only then will everything fall into place.

To recover the massive investment, Vishwambhara will have to perform much bigger than Chiranjeevi’s latest and career-biggest blockbuster, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.

Funky Locks a Crispy Runtime With Reasonable Business Deals

0

Anudeep KV and Vishwak Sen’s Funky is all set to entertain audiences from February 13th, and the latest news is that the film has locked a crisp runtime with reasonable business deals. The makers also released the film’s trailer a day ago and received a positive response.

Coming to the trailer, Vishwak Sen plays an aspiring filmmaker, and Kayadu Lohar is a producer; the entertainment factor, along with their chemistry, seems to have worked very well.

Funky Trailer promises a fun-filled entertainer: Can it use the Valentine’s Day advantage at the box office?

As said above, Funky has locked a crisp runtime of around 130 minutes, and the theatrical breakeven is set around ₹14 Cr. To achieve this, the film needs to collect close to ₹30 Cr gross worldwide, which looks quite achievable with positive word of mouth and no major competing releases at the box office.

Both Anudeep and Vishwak Sen are in need of a solid success, as their previous outings failed to make an impact at the box office. Funky looks promising and is expected to deliver the much-needed big hit for both of them.

Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya jointly produce Funky under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Bheems Ceciroleo is the music composer.

Manchu Vishnu to star in Prabhu Deva’s directorial next

0

After scoring the biggest grosser of his career with Kannappa, Manchu Vishnu is now gearing up for his next project, which is said to be directed by Prabhu Deva. Reportedly, Vishnu is undergoing intense workouts and focusing on building a strong physique specifically for this film.

Prabhu Deva started his film journey as a choreographer, then became a successful actor, and later turned into a director. He surprised everyone with his very first directorial venture Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, which went on to become a blockbuster. Following that, he directed films like Pournami with Prabhas and Shankar Dada Zindabad with Chiranjeevi.

Later, Prabhu Deva shifted his focus to Tamil cinema and Bollywood, where he became a busy director. He remade Pokiri in Tamil with Vijay and in Hindi with Salman Khan.

But the Hindi remake of his debut film, titled Ramaiya Vastavaiya, turned out to be a flop. He went on to direct several Hindi films such as Rajkumar, Action Jackson, Singh Is Bliing, Dabangg 3, and Radhe.

Now, after nearly 18 years, Prabhu Deva is reportedly set to make his return to Telugu cinema as a director. According to buzz, Manchu Vishnu, the current MAA President, will play the lead role in this project.

Manchu Vishnu released Kannappa earlier this year. The film featured senior stars like Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar, and opened to strong openings at the box office. But it could not sustain in the long run.

Following this film, Manchu Vishnu is reportedly being very selective about his projects, and industry talk suggests that he personally convinced Prabhu Deva to collaborate with him on this upcoming film.

Pawan Kalyan’s Next Sankranthi 2027?

0

Pawan Kalyan and his fans share a bittersweet memory with the Sankranthi festival. His most hyped film, Agnyaathavaasi, released during Sankranthi 2018, ended up as a massive box-office disaster. Now, after all these years, it is being said that the actor is once again preparing to release his next major film during the same festive season.

The coming month is set to be a real double treat for Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s fans. On one hand, his much-awaited film Ustaad Bhagat Singh is gearing up for release, and on the other, he is all set to launch a brand-new project.

Pawan Kalyan – Surender Reddy Film’s Pooja Ceremony Next Month

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is scheduled to hit the screens on March 26. In the same month, Pawan Kalyan will also begin work on his next film. Reports suggest that the new project, directed by Surender Reddy, will be officially launched with a Pooja ceremony on March 19, on the occasion of Ugadi.

The film is said to be set against a gangster backdrop, with regular shooting likely to begin in the first week of April. It will be produced by Ram Talluri and is being planned on a grand scale with a massive budget. An official announcement is expected very soon.

Can Pawan Kalyan Score a Big Hit at Sankranthi 2027?

Buzz also suggests that Pawan Kalyan’s current stylish look has been specially designed for this film. After impressing audiences as a Mumbai-based gangster in OG, many viewers have expressed interest in seeing him in similar intense roles. Keeping this demand in mind, the makers are believed to have chosen another gangster-based story. Fans are confident that this upcoming film will generate even more craze than OG.

Slated for release during Sankranthi 2027, details about the rest of the cast in Pawan Kalyan’s next film will be revealed shortly. Interestingly, there is strong speculation that a popular hero from another language industry may play the antagonist, adding to the excitement. Fans are eagerly waiting for the official confirmation.

Despite being busy with his responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan is reportedly planning to dedicate 6–7 hours a day to film shooting, balancing both cinema and governance with commitment.

RRR: Preparing for an Anime Adaptation

0

RRR (2022) stands as one of the biggest blockbusters in Telugu cinema, earning massive global appreciation and even winning an Academy Award. Now, an exciting update has emerged: director SS Rajamouli is working towards bringing RRR to life in an anime format.

Speaking about the anime adaptation, Rajamouli said:

“We have been in talks with a few studios in Japan to adapt RRR into an anime. I’m waiting for things to move forward. Hopefully it happens, and hopefully we can announce an exciting continuation of RRR in anime form.”

This development comes as Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise is already set to receive a two-part animated spin-off, directed by Ishan Shukla, with the first part scheduled for release in 2027.

The discussions with Japanese animation studios clearly indicate a larger global vision for the RRR anime project. If it materializes, it could further expand the film’s international reach and legacy.

New Distribution Offices Coming to Nizam

0

The Nizam distribution circle in the Telangana region is set to expand in the coming days, with several new distribution offices being opened. With many big films lined up for release this year and next, competition to acquire distribution rights is expected to intensify.

Currently, Asian, SVC, and Mythri are the leading distribution houses in the Nizam region. Recently, Annapurna Studios entered the market by opening a distribution office and has taken up the distribution of Vishwak Sen’s upcoming film Funky. In addition, The Girlfriend producer Dheeraj Mogilineni is also opening a new distribution office in Nizam, with Couple Friendly set to be his first release.

Until now, SVC and Asian have enjoyed a strong hold over the Nizam distribution circuit. But with new players entering the scene, they are likely to face stiff competition going forward. Adding to this, Jio Studios is preparing to launch its own distribution office in Telangana, starting with Dhurandhar 2. Meanwhile, multiplex giant PVR Inox Pictures has already begun distributing films independently and has also set up a dedicated office for the same.

With more players stepping in and several high-profile releases on the horizon, the Nizam distribution space is heading towards an interesting and competitive phase.

Balakrishna Film Update: Gopichand Malineni Corrects Previous Missteps

0

Balakrishna and Gopichand Malineni’s next film has made much noise even before its official shoot. It is widely known that their previous collaboration, Veera Simha Reddy, performed well at the box office but fell short of becoming a blockbuster or super hit.

A section of the audience felt that the film would have worked better if it had focused entirely on Balakrishna’s older look. The dual-role concept was not liked by audiences, as they felt that the younger character was unnecessary and failed to create the desired impact.

NBK111: Balakrishna to Skip Double Roles in Upcoming Film

It now appears that director Gopichand Malineni has taken this feedback seriously for his next film with Balakrishna. According to reports, the new project will feature Balakrishna in a single, strong, and well-defined role, avoiding the dual-role format altogether.

The film is said to be set against a Mumbai backdrop, with Balakrishna reportedly playing a powerful character linked to the city’s underworld. This is certainly a welcome change and will add a fresh setting. The director is said to be presenting Balakrishna in an intense and commanding avatar, which many believe suits the actor far better than multiple roles.

With a single-role narrative and a Mumbai-based backdrop, expectations are high that this Balakrishna–Gopichand Malineni combination will deliver more impactful, solid content this time.

Toxic Telugu: Price Yet to Be Finalized

0

Yesterday, SVC (Sri Venkateshwara Creations), owned by Dil Raju, officially announced that they will be releasing Toxic, starring Yash, in the Telugu states. Immediately after the announcement, a number started circulating on social media claiming that the Telugu states’ rights to Toxic were sold for a huge price of ₹120 crore. However, this information is completely false, and there is no truth to it.

The buzz from our sources is that the price itself has not been finalised yet. Since Dil Raju is a top distributor in the Telugu states and Toxic is releasing in competition with Dhurandhar 2, the producers are associating with Dil Raju to ensure a strong and wide release for the film.

Dil Raju will release Toxic in the Telugu states, but the price has yet to be fixed.

The film will most likely be handled on an advance-plus-commission basis, where the producer will bear the entire risk, similar to an own release. Dil Raju will only pay an advance amount, and even that advance is yet to be finalised.

The reason behind Dil Raju’s association goes beyond just Yash’s Toxic. KVN Productions is planning multiple films in the coming years, with Toxic being one of them. Their Jana Nayagan is also ready for release. In addition, a big film starring Bobby and Chiranjeevi, produced by KVN Productions, is in the pipeline, with a few more projects currently under discussion. This long-term collaboration is the main reason behind Dil Raju’s interest in associating with KVN Productions.
