Changes to Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram story again

Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram has faced several hurdles in recent times. From the frequent shooting stoppages to changes in the cast and crew, this film has seen it all. These unexpected roadblocks have frustrated the fans to no end as they are now concerned if the film will even complete its shooting and be ready by Sankranti 2024.

In addition to the already existing delays, there has been another major change to the project. Reportedly, Trivikram has made a lot of changes in the script with Mahesh Babu’s feedback. The script has changed continuously from the beginning and it looks like this will be the final version the team is busy completing of shooting.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks the third collaboration between him and Superstar Mahesh Babu after Athadu and Khaleja. The project is being produced under the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner and is slated to release on January 13th.

Pooja Hegde walking out of the film along with SS Thaman’s ouster has already pushed the film off track. Pooja’s ouster from the movie has now opened the door for Meenakshi Choudhury. Sreeleela, who will be sharing the screen with Mahesh for the first time is now the female lead while Meenakshi will essay the role that was initially written for Pooja.

Director officially announces Yatra sequel announcement date

Director and Producer Mahi V.Raghav is on a roll with multiple projects. On one hand, he is impressing the audience with web series, and he is busy with the script work of his upcoming films as well. In recent times, his web series Save the Tigers and Shaithan have received a positive response from the audience. Now everyone is interested in Mahi V Raghav ‘s next film which is Yatra 2, a sequel to the film Yatra released in 2019 which was a biopic of the late politician and leader YS Rajashekhar Reddy.

In the recent interviews during the promotions Shaitan series, he said that his next project is Yatra 2. It will be a continuation of the yatra film. Yatra, which is based on YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s Pada Yatra, was a good success.

Now he has officially revealed the announcement date of Yatra 2. Yatra 2 will be a film that highlights the situations that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy faced right from the death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy to the time when he ascended the chief minister’s post, especially the pada yatra of YS Jagan. YCP party circles are eagerly waiting for Yatra 2.

The film has received another rare honor as Six members of the film got a chance to be on the list of the Oscar committee. However, shockingly, Rajamouli didn’t get the invitation from the Oscar academy, which surprised everyone.

Director Rajamouli has responded to this. “I am very proud to have invited six members of our ‘RRR’ team for this year’s Academy Awards. His tweet reads… “ Extremely proud that 6 members of our RRR team have been invited as members for The Academy Awards this year. Congratulations Tarak, Charan, Peddanna, Sabu sir, Senthil and Chandrabose garu. Also, congrats to the members from Indian Cinema who received the invitation this year”

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which presents the most prestigious Oscar awards, has added 398 members to the Oscar committee. The list was released recently.

There are six members of the ‘RRR’ team. Apart from NTR and Ram Charan, music director MM Keeravani, lyricist Chandra Bose, cinematographer Senthil and production designer Sabu Cyril have been included in the committee. Other than them, Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar, Mani Ratnam, Andrij Parekh, Siddharth Kapur, Shaunak Sen
Bela Bajaria were also been included in the list.

However, the fans are disappointed that Rajamouli did not find a place in the list. Fans believe that it would have been better if the Maverick director, who has worked very hard, got this honor.

Nikhil’s Spy released earlier today amidst great expectations following a gripping trailer. The trailer promised a never-before experience for Telugu film audiences and while the jumps, action sequences, and thrills are definitely there, the film’s central focus which was majorly focussed in the trailer, is missing in the movie. This disappointed the audience who were expecting some major revelations about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Nikhil’s Spy was promoted as the movie that will reveal several secret missions and ideologies behind the Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose mystery. This created a solid buzz for the film but in the movie, they did not touch the Netaji subject in detail. In fact, there is only a particular incident before independence that has a screen time of around just 15 minutes.

Apart from this incident, the rest of the film is completely different. Audiences who were expecting more on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s mysterious disappearance and his escapades during Independence ended up being majorly disappointed.

Nikhil’s Spy also stars Iswarya Menon and Sanya Thakur as the female leads, and it is directed by Garry BH. Aryan Rajesh and Abhinav Gomatam were also seen in key roles. K Rajashekhar Reddy has also produced and written the script for the movie. The action-packed spy thriller was released simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Story: Khadir, a most wanted terrorist, plans a nuclear attack on India. The RAW forms a team to catch him and the operation becomes successful as Khadir dies in the process. However, a raw agent also gets killed, and then it is revealed that Khadir is not dead. Jai (Nikhil) steps in and heads up another mission to find the alleged dead Khadir. Did he find Khadir and stop the attack? What is the connection to Subash Chandra Bose with the entire operation? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.

Analysis: Spy is very plain right from the beginning. The opening mission and hero introduction follow a very familiar pattern, and they do not provide any kind of impact. The proceedings move very slowly. Things get a bit interesting when the subplot of Subhash Chandra Bose arrives at the pre-interval mark. It raises the anticipation levels to hope towards the second half and ends with a regular twist.

However, the second half does not focus much on the Subhash Chandra Bose angle and moves forward with the routine twists. In this process, nothing comes as surprise, but the last 20 mins had some effectiveness.

Performances: Nikhil was fine in the lead role, and tried to excel, but the role lacks strong characterization. Iswarya Menon provided the required oomph factor and her performance was also convincing. Abhinav Gomatham entertained as much he can with his punch dialogues. Sanya Thakur, Makrand Deshpande, Tanikella Bharani were ok.

Verdict:
