Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya’s Baby movie was released yesterday and it opened to absolutely mammoth numbers. For the scale and budget of the film, this is a dream opening for the team. The movie has garnered mostly mixed reviews but the audiences are flocking to the theatres nonetheless.

Here is the area-wise detailed report of the first-day box office collections of Baby.

In Nizam, the film has opened to 2.37 crores, a very impressive number considering the actors involved in the movie. The Vizag collections have been reported as 0.8 crores, East Godavari collections are 0.41 crores, whereas West Godavari stands at 0.22 crores.

Coming to the collections in the Krishna region, it is 0.35 crores. Guntur stands at 0.29 crores, whereas Nellore is at 0.18 crores. Ceeded collections are reported to be 0.54 crores. The collections in Karnataka and the Rest Of India are 0.2 crores. The Overseas collections are 1.7 crores. Thereby making the total first-day box office collections, a whopping 7.1 crores.

This is a massive start for the film and these numbers are only going to increase further. The film will do well on the weekend and will enjoy almost a competition-free week up until 21st July. It might face some competition from Oppenheimer in the A centers but the B and C centers will still watch Baby.

Ahead of the release of his next film, titled BRO: The Avatar, actor Sai Dharam Tej was seen visiting the Srikalahasti temple in the Tirupati district. While it is common for actors to visit temples for prayers ahead of their movie releases, this particular visit has garnered some unexpected attention.

During his visit, the actor was seen offering his prayers and making a round of the temple. But what has caused this controversy is that the actor was seen giving ‘Aarathi’ to the Gods. This did not go down well with the Pandits of the temple, who voiced their opinions. “How can a Bhakt offer ‘Aarathi’ to the Gods?” they said.

Usually in these temples, especially the Srikalahasti temple which is known for its religious significance, these kinds of matters are taken very seriously, and rightly so. When one enters a religious place, it becomes his duty to respect the culture and traditions there.

Having said that, it is likely that Sai Dharam Tej did this unknowingly and had no intentions to hurt anybody. It is also being said that one of the priests there might have asked Sai Dharam Tej to perform ‘Aarathi’. But nothing has been confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, the actor will be awaiting the release of his BRO movie with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. The film is releasing on 28th July in theatres. It is a remake of the Tamil film Vinodaya Sitham.

SKN went on to say that without any huge star cast he made a good film with upcoming actors and that film collecting 7 crores on the first day is a greater achievement than Interstellar for him.

SKN further stated that he worked hard to reach this position, and he will do his best to help whoever is in trouble. He said he will enjoy the result of his hard work and hoped the netizen understands his feelings. SKN replied to the netizen saying let’s spread some positivity.

Music director DSP signs Vishal’s Mass entertainer

Popular music director Devi Sri Prasad, fondly called as DSP by his fans, signs a new film. The film is a Telugu – Tamil bilingual film, and it is the 34th film in the career of Tamil Hero Vishal. It should be noted that Devi Sri Prasad has already composed music for Hari’s films including ‘Aaru’, ‘Singam’, ‘Singam 2’, ‘Vengai’ and ‘Sammy 2’.

Priya Bhavani Shankar has been finalized as the Female Lead. Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as DSP, is likely to score the music for Vishal 34, a mass entertainer. All these days this was a rumor, but today the official announcement from the makers is out.

After their 2007 film Thaamirabharani and 2014’s Poojai, actor Vishal and director Hari are uniting again with this film. Tentatively titled Vishal 34, the film was announced a few months ago with a grand Pooja function.
