Baby crosses Rs 20Cr share mark at Box office

Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Anand Deverakonda, and Viraj Ashwin starrer Baby is creating wonders at the box office. After receiving mostly positive reviews and appreciation for lead cast performances and music, the movie had a solid post-weekend performance and registered excellent occupancies everywhere.

The film’s theatrical rights were sold at just 9 crores and the movie crossed the breakeven mark long back and has crossed the Rs 20 crore mark. Total 6 days worldwide share is around 21.5Cr which is phenomenal considering the film’s scale. Baby is expected to do more than 40Cr share in the full run.

Looking at the superb consistency, the theater owners have added shows and screens as there is a good demand for the film, and they are receiving heavy returns fulls with an exceptional turnaround of the crowd. 

Directed by Sai Rajesh, Baby is produced by SKN under Mass Movie Makers. The film’s chartbuster music has been composed by Vijay Bulganin. The film has particularly managed to attract youth and that has been its biggest strength. The music already became quite popular long before the film’s release and ended up being the biggest strength of the film.

The makers of ‘Project K’ released the first look poster of the film’s main lead Prabhas on Wednesday, and it got mixed reactions on social media, and it has also led to big trolls on Prabhas by comparing the first look poster with Iron Man and an old tweet of Nag Ashwin was taken out by the netizens.

Nag Ashwin had tweeted on the design of the Telangana secretariat, and he stated it could have been better. He also went on to say that if it is for the future, it should be done better. Now the netizens are replying and quoting Nag Ashwin’s tweet and trolling him for the design of first look of Prabhas is bad and commenting on something is easy, and he has failed in his work.

Meanwhile, some fans embraced the Prabhas’s superhero look from the movie, but others took a shot at the poster by calling it as a cheap version of Iron Man. Netizens have begun to compare Prabhas’ poster with Robert Downey Jr’s ‘Iron Man 3’ poster because both posters show the lead actor in similar poses.

Prabhas and Deepika are currently in the US along with Kamal Haasan to unveil the film’s official title, trailer, and release date on the first day of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) on July 20. According to the makers, this is the first time that an Indian film will debut at Comic-Con.

Rana will also be producing a historical web series titled Lords of Deccan under Spirit Media. The series contains many elements, including the origin and rule of the Chalukya dynasty. Rana wants the series to be made in such a way that it captures the chalukya period and empire. The Lords of the Deccan series will be produced by Rana in partnership with the OTT platform Sony LIV.

Rana will also unveil the comic character of Malayalam film Minnal Murali in popular comic magazine Tinkle. He is doing this in partnership with Weekend Blockbusters, which produced the Minnal Murali film.
