After making Scam 1992 (2020) which was a sensational 10-part series about the making and unmaking of a financial fraudster, Harshad Mehta, the show’s creator Hanshal Mehta came up with Scam 2003, which tells the story of Abdul Karim Telgi. Abdul was the man behind the 2003 Indian Stamp Paper Counterfeit scam, which took the entire nation by shock. This show was released on this Friday, September 1St and receiving a good response from the viewers.

The true story of Abdul Telgi inspired Sanjay Singh to write a book titled Telgi Scam: Reporter’s Ki Diary, which in return has become the inspiration for Sony LIV’s OTT show Scam 2003. The web series features Gagan Dev Riar as the protagonist, with Mukesh Tiwari, Sana Amin Sheikh, Bharat Jadhav, and Shaad Randhawa in pivotal roles.

Abdul Karim Telgi was notoriously known as one of the largest Indian counterfeiters. He was able to earn money by printing counterfeit stamp paper worth INR 30,000 crore in 2003. The web series is now streaming on Sony LIV Platform.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan unit had impressed the Tamil Cinema audiences with its audio release event. Everyone is said that Jawan film’s audio release event was conducted in last week, and today it was officially released on Sun TV. While the SRK fans are busy in. sharing the entertaining tidbits from the event, the fans of Thalapathy Vijay are firing on the Sun TV team.

Because they are blaming the Sun TV team that they trimmed a part of Director Atlee’s speech wherein he was praising Vijay. However, today the team of Sun TV took to its official Twitter account and clarified that the editing was not done by them, but still, Vijay fans feel it was Sun TV’s hate towards Vijay which made them remove the part from Atlee’s speech.

Earlier in the event, Director Atlee thanked actor Vijay for bringing the project to life. “He was the one who motivated me to go out of my comfort zone.” The director also drew a nostalgic parallel to something that happened 13 years ago when he was an assistant director. “When I was working in Shankar sir’s Enthiran, I stood outside Shah Rukh sir’s house in Bombay, looked at that big gate, and took a picture. Now, after 13 years, those gates opened for me… so maybe, prayers do work.”

Jawan has cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben. Produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma, the Red Chillies Entertainment-produced action entertainer is all set to be released in theaters on September 7.

The recently announced National Film Awards brought great joy to the Telugu film industry. It was a great moment for the likes of Allu Arjun, MM Keeravani, Chandrabose, and Prem Rakshit along with the teams of RRR, and Uppena among others. Actor Vishal openly lashed out at the National Awards jury and selection committee for ignoring Tamil cinema this year. Vishal’s comments on awards came in response to a question about the National Awards.

He stated, “I don’t trust them at all. The greatest award is given by all the people to the artist’s performance after watching the film. An honest award is the judgment given by the audience. With the blessings of the audience, I have sustained my career in the film industry for many years, which is a significant award for me. Even if I receive awards for the films I have acted in, I would throw them in the trash.”

Speaking at a conference in Chennai organized by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association on the theme of “Eradicating Sanatana” on Saturday, Udhaya nidhi Stalin, the son of chief minister MK Stalin, argued that Sanatana was against social justice and that it had to be eliminated. His controversial c have made it to the National Headlines.

“I thank the organisers of this conference for giving me the opportunity to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference’ rather than ‘Anti-Sanatana Conference’, I appreciate that,” media quoted Udhayanidhi as saying

“A few things cannot be opposed, that should be abolished only. We can’t oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria, or corona. We have to eradicate this, that’s how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather opposing Sanatana it should be eradicated,” Udhayanidhi was quoted as saying. “The name Sanatana is from Sanskrit. It is against Social Justice and equality,” he added.

Later on, responding to a post by Amit Malviya, the IT cell head of the Bharatiya Janata Party on X (formally Twitter), Udhayanidhi pointed out that he never advocated for the genocide of individuals who adhere to Sanatan Dharma.

“I never called for the genocide of people who are following Sanatan Dharma. Sanatan Dharma is a principle that divides people in the name of caste and religion. Uprooting Sanatan Dharma is upholding humanity and human equality.

I stand firmly by every word I have spoken. I spoke on behalf of the oppressed & marginalized, who suffer due to the Sanatan Dharma. I am ready to present the extensive writings of Periyar and Ambedkar, who conducted in-depth research on Sanatan Dharma and its negative impact on society in any forum.

Let me reiterate the crucial aspect of my speech: I believe, like the spread of diseases like COVID-19, Dengue, and Malaria by mosquitoes, that Sanatan Dharma is responsible for many social evils. I am prepared to confront any challenges that come my way, whether in a court of law or the people’s court. Stop spreading fake news”

Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film, Kushi was released on September 1St. The film has received positive reviews from the critics, and it is performing good at the box office on the weekend excluding mass territories. However, it looks like a paid and targeted negativity aimed at Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi.

Everyone is aware that the film, Kushi is a family romantic entertainer and normally this kind of films will not do well at mass Centers. Naturally, Kushi also suffering the same feat but in other territories it is doing well, but as said above, there appears to be a paid negativity around the film.

If we observe in ticket booking app, Book My Show, the rating of the film is shockingly just 7. Some section of people has intentionally targeted the film and given 1 – 2-star ratings to decrease the BMS rating. Even the industry also knows about this but no one knows who is behind this, but definitely someone is trying to do damage to the film by paid negativity and intentionally targeting the film.

Malayalam music director Hesham Abdul Wahab has scored the music for the film. Kushi also has Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Pradeep, and Vennela Kishore in crucial roles. Kushi is a pan-India release with it hitting the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.

Four Tamil films announced on Salaar release date

The postponement of Prabhas’ Salaar has opened up a massive opportunity for various films from all industries. 28th September which was intended to be Salaar’s release is a great time as it is followed by a weekend and Gandhi Jayanti. Makers want to capitalise on this and a bunch of films have been announced on this date. Films of Siddharth, Vijay Antony, Jayam Ravi, and Harish Kalyan have now stepped into the fray.

Four Tamil films were announced for 28th September release right after Prabhas’ Salaar stepped out of the date. First up is Siddharth starter Chiththa. Chithha is a multilingual movie starring Siddharth in the main role. Directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film is bankrolled by Etaki Entertainment and Red Giant Movies. 

Nayanthara and Jayam Ravi’s Iraivan is the next film to be announced for this date. The psycho-thriller film features Jayam Ravi as a cop while Rahul Bose plays the role of a psycho serial killer. Vijay Anthony’s Ratham and Harish Kalyan’s Parking are the other two movies arriving on the same date.

Apart from these several other smaller films from other industries are pushing their movies to Salaar release date. This shows the craze of Salaar at all markets. As long as Salaar was set for 28th September, no one was ready for competition and now Salaar with Salaar probably moving to Sankranti, all others are looking to block this date.

The same had happened with Rajinikanth, but with his latest film, Jailer, he proved he is still the biggest South Indian superstar.

Rajinikanth’s Jailer proved again he is the biggest superstar in South Indian Cinema as in all the territories no one has the super stardom like him. Tamil Nadu, Nizam, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka in all states Rajinikanth has a super strong market as the film, Jailer put the record numbers everywhere it released.

The total worldwide gross of Jailer will be in the range of 600Cr, which is a sensational feat. No one expected this kind of phenomenal success from Rajinikanth, and he proved his mettle as a star with the massive success of the film.

The film, jailer, was released in theaters globally on August 10. Nelson is the director of the film, which is centered around the character called Tiger Muthuvel Pandian who is a retired Jailer. Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, and Yogi Babu were also featured in key roles in the film. Malayalam legend Mohanlal and Kannada legend Shivarajkumar played explosive cameos in the movie, giving it a greater success. Superstar Rajini’s mass appeal and Anirudh’s roaring music played a significant role in making the movie a Kollywood industry hit.

Kushi, the latest family romantic drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha was released on September 1St. The film had received a relatively positive talk from the audiences. Coming to the box office
, the film had a mixed performance as it severely under performing in Andhra Pradesh.

Kushi is doing extremely well in overseas, and it also has good hold in Nizam but in Andhra Pradesh the film is heading towards a heavy loss venture. In overseas the film is all set to achieve the breakeven by today itself, and it is all set to recover more than 70% in Nizam on weekend as well.

Even in the rest of Indian territories like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, the film is performing well, but in Andhra Pradesh the situation is extremely diverse and the movie heading towards a loss venture there. The film’s rights are valued at more than 25Cr in Andhra Pradesh, and by the weekend the recovery will be less than 50%.

Gadar2 – Fastest film to join 500Cr club in Hindi

Sunny Deol’s sensational blockbuster Gadar 2 still maintains a decent hold at the box office. The film has surprised everyone and emerged as a solid blockbuster with record collections in every territory in north India and even overseas.

The film has achieved another major milestone on its 24th Day. Gadar 2 has now become the fastest Hindi film to do Rs 500 crore nett collections. For the record, only two films have achieved this feat. Pathan achieved this in 28 days while Baahubali 2 achieved Rs 500 crore figure on its Day 34.

The film clashed at the box office with Rajinikanth’s Jailer and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 was also released in theatres on August 25. However, it did not have much impact on Gadar 2.

Now, with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan releasing in theatres on September 7, it remains to be seen if Gadar 2 will be able to survive this storm. The advance ticket sales of Jawan are currently better than Gadar 2. 

Starring Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, Gadar 2 has already crossed the lifetime collections of KGF 2, Dangal. The film is now just behind Baahubali 2 and Pathaan in terms of Bollywood Box-office collections. It is a sequel to ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, a 2001 film set against the backdrop of the Partition of India in 1947.

The much hyped Pawan Kalyan’s OG glimpse failed to cross Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram’s glimpse views in 24 hours. OG glimpse clocked 14.5M views in 24 hours when Guntur Kaaram stands at no 1 with 21M views and Pushpa glimpse is in the top 2 position with 20.5M views. Even OG glimpse did not cross Ustaad Bhagat Singh glimpse’s views [15.8M]. However, as per the likes, OG has created all-time record in YouTube likes as it got 731K likes in 24 hours.

OG is an action entertainer written and directed by Sujeeth. The film features Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Prakash Raj in lead roles. The film also marks Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s debut in Telugu. The film has music composed by S Thaman.

Produced by DVV Danayya of ‘RRR’ fame, the film has cinematography by Ravi K Chandran. The release date of the film is still not officially announced but as per the reports, the makers are aiming for the Summer 2024 release.
