It is widely known that Panja Vaishnav Tej recently released the film Aadikeshava. The film opened to a below-par talk, and the collections on Day 1 were also dismal. The film is showing no hopes of any Jump on. Today or tomorrow will likely become a massive box office disaster. 

As said above, Vaishnav Tej debuted with a blockbuster like Uppena, which collected 50Cr+ Share and close to 100Cr Gross even though it was released during the Covid Period. He also received a massive appreciation for his performance. So the audience and everyone expected another star hero to be launched from the Mega family.

But Vaishnav Tej’s poor script selection has put him in the wrong position. After facing two consecutive failures, Vaishnav’s Aadikeshava also tanked at the box office. His films are not getting minimum openings at the box office, and the business is also not doing well. He scored hattrick disasters and wasted the golden debut launch. 

Now, he needs to give a solid comeback, or getting the lead role offers will also be challenging if he fails to deliver excellent content with his subsequent films.

Aadikeshava and Kota Bommali PS got released in theatres. While Aadikeshava received extremely poor reviews, Kotabommali PS received great word of mouth and mostly positive reviews. Despite favorable reviews, Kotabommali PS is seeing a limited set of audience in theatres and the occupancies of Adikshava are both films locked digital partners before release only.

Coming to the OTT business, Naga Vamsi has a good advantage of having multiple big films in his lineup that will help Aadikeshava’s OTT business. He has reportedly made a combined deal of multiple movies with Netflix and Aadikeshava being one among them. Kota Bommali PS is a Geetha Arts project and it will stream on Aha only. Both films are expected to stream in December last week.

Directed by Teja Marini, the film stars Srikanth, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Shivani Rajasekhar, Rahul Vijay and Murali Sharma. The movie is a remake of the superhit Malayalam film ‘Nayattu’. A Police complaint has been filed against actress Khushbu Sundar as she hurts the SC community. On Thursday, Ranjan Kumar, the head of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee’s Scheduled Caste division, suggested that BJP member and actor Khushbu Sundar should publicly apologize for her remarks in the Cheri language.

Following a social media debate about her remarks, Ms. Khushbu asserted that she used the French word ‘Chéri,’ which translates to ‘beloved,’ instead of the Tamil word ‘Cheri,’ which is being lambasted on social media. Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with this controversy as Khushbu Sundar hurts the SC community. As a Police complaint has been filed against Khushbu, a few support her while a few oppose her.

Khushbu Sundar, a BJP leader and NCW member facing criticism for her ‘Cheri Language’ comment, stated on Saturday that she had witnessed protests against her and was prepared to meet them. She was referring to the demands for Congress to apologize and protest warnings.

She said, “If they say they’re going to burn effigies or they’re going to be right outside my door, I have seen enough of it. I have seen enough of these Congress guys. I’ve seen enough of these jokers. I am ready to face them.”

“People who know me know that I don’t use any kind of foul language,” she added.

“Many people (Congress) announced a protest against me. They said they would stage a protest outside my house. What happened to that protest? In my tweet, I used the French word “Cheri” and not the Tamil word. She explained that she meant it sarcastically and was being misunderstood.

With the rise of the theatrical business in the OTT era, films’ pre-release business have increased significantly. Due to higher business, even the remuneration of the Heroes went up. But times have changed and OTT giants are being too cautious about splurging big amounts on latest movies, the pre-release business numbers have come down but still the Heroes are not ready to cut the remuneration.

Ravi Teja, for example, is charging 25Cr remuneration per movie. A film was planned with Gopichand Malineni but Mythri Movie Makers felt that the movie’s budget exceeded the plan even on paper. The makers felt the budget would not work but Ravi Teja is not ready to cut the remuneration which has let to the project being put on hold.

The reason for not slashing the remuneration by Ravi Teja is that the other producers are still offering his quoted remuneration. People Media Factory for example is paying him that figure for Eagle. There is another film being produced by them in for which the Mass Maharaja will be given the same number.
