Harom Hara OTT Release Date is Out

Sudheer Babu’s Harom Hara was released month to favorable reviews but failed to give a strong performance at the box office. The talk from the premieres was also pretty good but this positivity could not spread amongst the cinegoers leading to another flop for Sudheer Babu.

The first half has worked out well with a terrific interval block. The second half is slightly low on fire compared to the first half with a few predictable scenes but still watchable. Now the film is getting ready for its OTT release and there are hopes that it will receive a better reception than what it got in theatres. The action entertainer will stream of Aha video from 11th July onwards.

Written and Directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka, Harom Hara is produced by Sumanth G Naidu and also stars Malavika Sharma, Sunil, Jayaprakash and Ravi Kali in key roles. The trailer and promotional content managed to grab the audience’s attention and it needs to be seen how the film is received on its OTT premiere this weekend.

Netflix officially announces Maharaja Streaming date

Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja was released last month amidst positive reviews and performed well at the box office. Vijay Sethupathy’s stunning performance in his 50th film and gripping screenplay made the film work extremely well at the box office. After a smashing performance at the theatres, Maharaja is now getting ready for its OTT release.

Streaming giant Netflix has acquired the rights of Maharaja OTT streaming and an official announcement has been made regarding the same. The film will stream in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi from July 12th onwards.

The film also stars Anurag Kashyap, Abhirami, and Mamta Mohandas in key roles. Vijay Sethupathi delivered a powerful performance in Maharaja marking a strong comeback. The film has received positive reviews for its engaging storyline and strong performances.

Maharaja has managed to gross more than 40 crores worldwide in the first weekend which is sensational considering the situation of Vijay Sethupathi. The film even performed amazingly at the Telugu Box office, thanks to the popularity of Vijay Sethupathi here with few films.

Kalki 2898 had an excellent second weekend at the box office in all languages. The film witnessed a massive jump on Saturday and Sunday, posting very big numbers. India Collections:

In Telangana, Kalki is having an epic run and has collected in the range of 120 Cr gross till now, which is more than Andhra Pradesh’s gross of 115 Cr. The total Telugu states’ gross is 235 Cr, which is the same as North India. In North India also, the film has collected 235 Cr gross. In Karnataka, the film has collected 56 Cr gross, in Tamil Nadu 36 Cr, and in Kerala 25 Cr gross. Overall, in India, Kalki 2898 AD 11 days collections are 587 Cr gross.

Overseas and WW Collections:

In overseas, the film is having an epic run, which is better than RRR and KGF2. In North America, the film has collected 16 million, and in other overseas countries, it is around 10.5 million. The total overseas gross is 26.5 million (221 Cr). The film is expected to join the 30 million club in its full run. Only Baahubali 2 has collected 30 million overseas in its first phase. With 221 Cr overseas and 587 Cr in India, Kalki 2898 AD 11 days collections are 808 Cr worldwide.

Kalki 2898 AD – A blockbuster for Prabhas after Baahubali:

After Baahubali, Prabhas emerges as the biggest star of Indian cinema, and he delivers massive numbers for Saaho and Adipurush even with negative WOM. Salaar is expected to be a comeback film for Prabhas, but it underperformed, just managing to collect in the range of 620 cr and settling with an average status. Finally, Prabhas delivers a clean blockbuster with Kalki 2898 AD. The breakeven is valued at 800 cr, and it collected breakeven numbers in just 11 days

1000 Cr Milestone:

Kalki now eyes the 1000 Cr milestone, with 808 Cr for 11 days. The film needs another 200 Cr gross to achieve this club. At this pace, it looks easily achievable. The only concern is that Indian 2 is releasing this weekend. If it opens with positive WOM, it will impact Kalki. If Indian 2 opens with average or below-par WOM, then Kalki will go even bigger than the 1000 Cr milestone.

Mirzapur Season 3: Biggest disappointment for fans

Mirzapur Season 1 became a big hit on the OTT. The series which premiered on Amazon Prime Video attained cult status in the Internet as well. Many memes and trolls of Mirzapur are often used everywhere on social media platforms. Season 2 was released afterwards with high expectations and did okayish. It didn’t impress the audience to the level of Season 1 but somehow engaged them throughout. But recently released Mirzapur Season 3 is not upto the mark and became a biggest disappointment for the fans.

The season 3 of Mirzapur has started streaming from July 5th on Amazon Prime Video. It received very mixed response from the audiences. They felt that it was the weakest one in the three seasons. Reviews also came about the dragged length of the season. The most missing part was the central character Munna Bhaiya. He was one of the major highlights of the series. But his character dies in the end of Season 2 and leaves an interesting fight. This is the major reason for Season 3’s disappointment as well.

The season also consists of 10 episodes for the continuation of another season. The season 4 is expected to be the final one in Mirzapur series.

Bharateeyudu 2 pre-release business and breakeven details

Bharateeyudu 2, the Telugu dubbed version of Indian 2 is gearing up for release on this July 12th worldwide. The film stars Kamal Haasan portraying the Senapathy role in Indian/Bharateeyudu again. The songs and trailer of the film have already been released. Now Bharateeyudu 2 pre-release business and breakeven details are as follows:

Bharateeyudu 2 saw the lowest business in the Telugu States. The business is said to be in the range of 1/3rd of Shankar’s previous outing, 2.0. This is really shocking. Shankar enjoyed a big market in Telugu market once. But films like I and 2.0 have changed his fate. Coming back to Bharateeyudu 2, Coastal Andhra business ratio is fixed at 12 crores, Nizam is at 9 crores and Ceded remains at 4 crores. The total break even of the film will be 25 crores in Telugu States.

Bharateeyudu 2 is carrying not so big buzz right now at the moment. The songs and trailer didn’t meet the expectations. Pre-release event of the film is happening today in Hyderabad. The film may do well in Telugu only if Word of Mouth comes out to be good enough. Breakeven may also happen. Let’s see how it goes after the release.

Hanuman 2: Ram Charan vs Chiranjeevi

Hanuman which released this year on Sankranthi made wonders at the box office. The film became a Pan India blockbsuter grossing nearly 300 crores at the box office. The makers instantly announced a sequel Hanuman 2 for the film. Now, the question remains about the choice of Hanuman’s portrayal in the film. Pre-production works of Hanuman 2 have already begun. One of the producers wife, Chaitanya Reddy revealed that they were considering either Ram Charan or Chiranjeevi to play Hanuman’s role.

Prasanth Varma, the director of the film wants to do a film in the mean time before the pre-production works get finished. He also wanted to start a film with Ranveer Singh but it didn’t materialize. He has hit a jackpot by grabbing the chance of directing Mokshagna, son of Balakrishna for his debut film. Hanuman 2 will go on sets after the completion of this project.

As for the role of Hanuman in Hanuman 2, nothing has been finalised yet. The discussions will start. On the other hand, the makers’ lastest film, Darling is releasing on July 19th this month. The trailer of the film has been released today as well. They are also doing aggressive promotions for the film.

This weekend has some promising some good content OTT releases. The most awaited Mirzapur season 3 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film enjoys a cult fan base among the audiences in the country. The first two seasons were big hits on the OTT platform as well. Along with this another film, PT Sir will also be streamin on Amazon Prime Video. This film deals with sexual harrassment on Women. Anikha Surendran played a crucial role in the film.

Actor Sumanth’s Aham Reboot is also streaming on Aha Video. This is directed by Prashanth Sagar Atlluri. Another film, Arabham starring Mohan Bhagath will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Market Mahalakshmi starring Comedian Parvatheesam will stream on Aha Video. Apart from these, Bhaje Vaayu Vegam starring Karthikeya will be streaming on the leading OTT giant, Netflix. This film released recently but didn’t meet the expectations well. It also stars Ishwarya Menon in the female lead role. The film took just nearly a month to release on the OTT.

Indian 2: Shankar’s brand at stake

Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan is directed by Shankar. The film is all set to release on July 12th worldwide this month. There are huge expectations on the film as it serves as the official sequel of yesteryear blockbuster, Indian. The film may backfire it doesn’t live up to the expectations. This also puts Shankar’s brand at stake.

Shankar remained as the top director in the South Indian film Industry. He was also one of the very few directors to earn a Pan India success way before the present trend of Pan India films. Till Enthiran/Robo, his range was at the peak. But his later films didn’t work well with the audience on the content. His big flicks I and 2.0 may have had delivered numbers at the box office but were not liked completely by the audiences. These two films received ordinary talks and many felt that they didn’t live up to the expectations. Some even felt these didn’t have Shankar’s mark like his previous films had.

Now, his current film Indian 2 is relasing after nearly 6 years. This film, as said stands as a sequel to one of his career’s biggest blockbusters. So he needs to deliver on all fronts or else he may encounter a poor response. All these indicate that Shankar’s brand is really at stake. He has also two more films other than this namely, Indian 3 and Game Changer which too may face the affect.
