యువ దర్శకుడు నాగ అశ్విన్ తొలిసారిగా 2015లో వచ్చిన ఎవడే సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం మూవీ ద్వారా మెగా ఫోన్ పట్టారు. అప్పట్లో మంచి విజయం అందుకున్న ఈ మూవీ అనంతరం కీర్తి సురేష్ తో సావిత్రి గారి బయోపిక్ మహానటి మూవీ తీసి మరొక సూపర్ హిట్ అందుకున్నారు. ఇక తాజాగా పాన్ ఇండియన్ స్టార్ ప్రభాస్ హీరోగా దీపికా పదుకొనె, అమితాబ్ బచ్చన్, కమల్ హాసన్ వంటి స్టార్స్ తో సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్ మైథలాజికల్ ఎంటర్టైనర్ కల్కి 2898 ఏడి తీశారు.

పాన్ ఇండియన్ స్టార్ ప్రభాస్ లేటెస్ట్ భారీ సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్ మైథలాజికల్ యాక్షన్ మూవీ కల్కి 2898 ఏడి. ఈ మూవీలో బాలీవుడ్ నటి దీపికా పదుకొనె హీరోయిన్ గా నటించగా దిగ్గజ నటులు అమితాబ్ బచ్చన్, కమల్ హాసన్ కీలక పాత్రలు పోషించారు. కాగా దీనిని యువ దర్శకుడు నాగ అశ్విన్ తెరకెక్కించారు.

వైజయంతి మూవీస్ సంస్థ పై సి. అశ్వినీదత్ గ్రాండ్ లెవెల్లో నిర్మించిన ఈ మూవీ ఇటీవల ఆడియన్స్ ముందుకి వచ్చి సూపర్ హిట్ టాక్ తో భారీ కలెక్షన్స్ తో బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద కొనసాగుతున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. అయితే మ్యాటర్ ఏమిటంటే నిన్నటితో తమ మూవీ వరల్డ్ వైడ్ గా రూ. 1000 కోట్ల మార్క్ గ్రాస్ కలెక్షన్ ని సొంతం చేసుకుందని కల్కి 2898 ఏడి మూవీ మేకర్స్ అఫీషియల్ గా ఒక పోస్టర్ ద్వారా అనౌన్స్ చేసారు.

The blockbuster success of Kalki 2898 AD has got the whole nation talking with cast and crew rejoicing the massive collections. The film has given back-to-back successful films and heightened the anticipation on the Kalki sequel. The Kalki team has officially declared that this Nag Ashwin project has reached 1000 Cr milestone But in reality, it’s still not past 900 Cr yet.

While the producers announcing exaggerated numbers is one thing, Nag Ashwin’s social media post celebrating Kalki 2898 AD success has caught people’s attention. In his Instagram story, the Kalki director celebrating the film’s success said that he as proud of the way the film performed “without blood, gore, obscenity and provocative content.“

This is being seen as a direct dig towards Sandeep Reddy Vanga whose Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor was a blockbuster success and achieved extraordinary box-office figures. Animal was criticized by some critics and audience for its depiction of bloodshed and over-the-top violence and sexism.

Definitely Animal is a bigger hit than Kalki in terms of recovery, and return on investment. Animal collected Rs 900 Cr gross but they did not exaggerate the numbers for Rs 1000 Cr milestone.

Bharateeyudu 2 Day 2: Disaster

Kamal Haasan’s Bharateeyudu got off to a good start and the Day 1 share was 5.8 crores including GST. Despite poor reviews and negative word of mouth, such a start gave the makers a glimmer of hope about its box office performance. But it looks like the buzz has now died.

After a good opening day in Telugu states, the film saw a big drop on day 2. The drop is more than 50%. On day 1, Bharateeyudu 2 collected 5.8 Cr share; on day 2 it could only make around Rs 2.5 Cr. 

The total Telugu state’s share is just around Rs 8.3 Cr for 2 days and looking at the trends for today, Day 3 would be the last decent day for the film with weekdays coming up next. If today’s numbers are lesser than yesterday then there will be a 40% loss for the buyers.

Directed by Shankar, this sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Bharateeydu witnessed similar drops in all the regions barring Tamil Nadu. In TN, the film held its ground and collected similar numbers on day 2 as it did on opening day.

Harom Hara starring Sudheer Babu released recently but ended up being a disaster. But the film gathered good reviews and word of mouth from the audiences. So they have been waiting for the OTT release. The OTT release was also announced to be 11th July. Streaming partners were Aha and ETV Win. But the film is not streaming yet and this made Audience angry at both Aha and ETV Win.

This rarely happnes for any film. And the reason for this is also being attributed to a popular YouTube. Praneeth Hanumanthu remains a popular YouTuber who roasts films and situations. He was arrested recently for posting grave remarks about Child Abuse watching a video. The YouTube also starred in Harom Hara and this made the makers change the OTT release plan.

The team of Harom Hara is said to be removing his portions in the film and may announce a new date of OTT streaming. Sudheer Babu reacted sharply about the YouTuber’s involvement in the film. So he too must have forced the team to delete his portions and release it afterwards. Harom Hara didn’t give Sudheer Babu the much needed relief in the theatres. Let’s see what the film does after the OTT’s release.

Sarfira has opened with a mere 2.5 Nett opening in India which is Akshay Kumar career’s biggest disastrous opening. This number is even lesser than his previous bombs, Bell Bottom which made 2.8 crores, Selfie with 2.6 crores and Mission Ranigan with 2.75 crores. Akshay Kumar has been struggling with no proper hits. Even though the film has unanimous positive reviews but it’s not reflecting on collections. On Day 2 the film just collected 4 Cr nett and the movie heading towards big disaster,He once had great blockbusters in his career but its not working now. All his recent films have flopped or become disasters. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan too bombed recently at the box office.

He thought Sarfira may give him the much needed relief since the film was a National award winning film. Suriya won the National Award for Best Actor with this film. So, Akshay Kumar has to take a break and concentrate properly on the content. He is also missing his comedy based films for which he once was famous of. He needs to come up with such films but not with action entertainers or Patriotic films.

Indian, the Yesteryear blockbuster directed by Shankar is now arriving on Netflix. The film also had a sequel, Indian 2 which released recently as well. Indian 2 reviews are not so encouraging and many felt that the film didn’t live up to the expectations. Indian will be arriving on OTT Giant, Netflix on this Monday i.e.,15th July.

Indian 2 OTT rights have also been bought by Netflix for very big amount. The team also re-released Indian in the theatres for the Audiences. It is interesting to see that Indian is arriving on OTT while its sequel Indian is still playing in the theatres. Coming back to Indian 2, the film is on its way to becoming a big disaster. Many feel that Director has destroyed the greatness of the first part by taking up the sequel plan.

Now, what more concerning is that there is another part in the line up. Indian 3 will release in 2025 as announced by the makers. Audience feel that situation would become more worse then. There is lot more that the film should recover. Trade analysts expect the film to become a big disaster after its full run. We have to see how the team reacts to such situation then. Shankar needs to work on his another film, Game Changer starring Ram Charan.

Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas opened to amazing box office response. The film also managed to gross more than 800 crores worldwide after two weekends. Now the third weekend is also trending on an extraordinary note. But the Makers have already released the 1000 crore poster now and this has become a controversy.

It is also known that the makers have been exaggerating the numbers from the opening day of the film. This happens for all films actually. But now this poster is setting some debates across the social media platforms. Prabhas fans claim that Prabhas would become the first South Indian hero to hit two 1000 crore films. Shah Rukh Khan too recently scored two back to back 1000 crore films with Pathaan and Jawaan.

Fans of other heroes are not okay with this. They say that the makers have been intentionally misquoting the number for the sake of record. They feel that Kalki 2898 AD didn’t gross 1000 crores. Till now Prabhas’ highest grosser was Salaar directed by Prashant Neel other than the Baahubali series. Now Kalki 2898 AD officially becomes his solo highest grosser. SS Rajamouli also happens to be the only technician from South Industry to have two 1000 crore grossers with Baahubali series and RRR.

Director Shankar continued as the top director of South Indian Film Industry for years. He directed many classic films in his career. But it seems he has lost the track now. His earlier film, 2.0 was a sequel to Enthiran/Robo released in 2010. 2.0 didn’t manage to rereate the magic of its original film and brought Shankar bad name as well. Now, with Indian 2 Shankar has gone even futher and damaged one more classic film, Indian/Bharateeyudu. Audience now feel that Shankar is destroying the reputation of his classics.

Audience wanted sequels to his classic films at one point of time but they are not in a mood to see this now with Shankar failing at these sequels. Shankar needs to concentrate on original films from now on. Indian 3 which is already in the line up must be finished with care as Indian 2 looks to post a disastrous number in the final run. The film now looks to recover only half of the pre-release business amount.

Shankar’s current film, Game Changer’s shoot is almost finished and there is just a 10 day shoot left. Now, fans and some audience are in a start of worry about Game Changer’s output. They feel Shankar could have directed the film just as Indian 2. The film will release in 2025.
