The new variant of COVID19-Omicron is scaring Tollywood filmmakers. There are a lot of big-budget Telugu movies lined up in the months of December and January, and any peak in cases will affect these films badly.

The cases around Omicron are slowly increasing in India. If this continues to happen, it is a threat for the biggies.

The Central Government has suggested the States to implement night curfews if and when needed to prevent the spread of this variant.

There have been 17 cases registered in Maharashtra so far and 1 case registered in Andhra Pradesh.

Knowing the AP government, if the same continues they will not hesitate to impose night curfews immediately.

However, it is important to note that health experts have said that there will be no third wave in India. They have also said that India is managing Omicron well and that there is no need for worry.

This is also a very crucial period for Telugu cinema. The success of the biggies will determine the rest of the year.
