Telugu film industry has a good practice of respecting legends. They generally observe a holiday for mourning the legends who contributed to the industry.
Krishnam Raju was a great actor of his era, but his demise recently wasn’t mourned by observing a holiday. This led to controversies by Ram Gopal Varma. He mocked the senior heroes who continued shooting, it was so disrespectful to Krishnam Raju according to maverick director.
Avoiding such issues and realizing the mistake, Telugu film industry employees federation announced one-day hiatus for the shootings. It is appreciable that those noble souls are getting the much-needed respect in this manner.
It would’ve been better to re-release movies of Krishna for a day to commemorate the legend. This generation would understand the glorious contribution of Krishna by watching those movies. This would’ve been a better tribute, since great people like him live through cinema.
