No director can match Rajamouli in Indian Cinema. There is no need for a special introduction for the name SS Rajamouli as today every Indian Cinema fan knows and respects him for his amazing filmography. Rajamouli continued to succeed and go to the next level with each mega budget film from Magadheera, Eega, Baahubali, Baahubali 2 and RRR.
It’s not only about numbers, but the main thing is the way he matches the expectations of audiences for each film. RRR may not have collected in the range of Baahubali 2, but a standalone film collecting a mammoth figure of 1200Cr Gross is not easy and more than that, he got massive recognition in international markets with RRR. No director can match Rajamouli in Indian Cinema.

There are other big directors in the Indian film industry, like SSR, who hail from different industries and are ruling their respective industries like from Kollywood Lokesh Kanagaraj was the latest sensation and current no 1 director of that industry.
With his latest film, Leo, Lokesh scored a big hit as the film did super numbers, but the content failed to match the expectations and many were unable to digest how could Lokesh Kanagaraj write a weak story.
Another director, Prashant Neel from Kannada had created a bigger brand with KGF Series at pan India level. Now he has released Salaar with Prabhas and the movie did not reach the expectations of all audiences which reflected in the BO numbers and trade expects to close under 700Cr Gross or even lesser.
The same goes with Bollywood master filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. The renowned director saw his first setback with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki which is registering very low numbers at the box office. All these films prove that setting the standards and reaching them with each movie is not an easy task and no one can achieve that feat like Rajamouli currently in Indian Cinema.
