Back in 2015, Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee was released and became a flop at the box office. The movie did not do well for many reasons but that aside, the main talking point was Chiranjeevi’s cameo in the film. Chiranjeevi was supposed to do a film with Puri Jagannadh but it got canceled and he did a cameo in Bruce Lee instead.
Because of the failure of the film, Charmee tweeted this, mocking Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. At the time, very few people took it seriously and dismissed it as a sadist tweet.
But 7 years later, this tweet is making the rounds once again, and for all the wrong reasons. Just yesterday, the Charmee Kaur-produced Liger was released and has opened to outrageously negative reviews. The film has been bashed by both the common audiences as well as the critics alike. At this rate, the movie will crash by the opening weekend.
Mega fans are rejoicing at this and getting back at Charmee. The trolls have been non-stop and Charmee is facing the heat because of her tweet. Karma is real, and so is overconfidence. While Karma can be good sometimes, overconfidence is never. The entire team of Liger made a lot of erratic statements before the release like “We will count from 200 crores” and so on. But the reality is, they will not even have to count.
