After being in production for a long time, the makers of Nikhil’s Swayambhu have finally announced its release date. The film will hit screens on Maha Shivaratri, February 13, 2026. To mark the announcement, the team released a special video showcasing the challenges and efforts that went into making this grand project.
In the video, Nikhil highlights his intense preparation for the role, which included body transformation, horse-riding, and combat training. He proudly introduces his horse Maruthi and appreciates the hard work of the crew. Interestingly, Nikhil has also lent his voice for the Hindi version of the film. The movie features Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the female leads.
Swayambhu narrates the untold story of an unsung hero from Indian history, moving beyond traditional tales of kings and wars. Rooted deeply in India’s cultural heritage, the film promises to be a pan-Indian cinematic spectacle.
The project has been a massive two-year effort, involving 170 shooting days, large-scale sets, a huge budget, and top technicians. The video released by the team gives audiences a glimpse of the scale and dedication behind the film.
