Lust Stories Telugu Release Plans
Lust Stories, an anthology film packed with four different chapters each directed by famous Bollywood directors. It was released on Netflix in 2018 and became viral within no time of its release. Gained attention with the trailer itself. It came as a sequel to “Bombay Talkies”.
Lust Stories was the trendsetter in the OTT platform. Later many web series were made with the adult content and being watched by the audience especially the youth. A sequel to Lust Stories titles as “Ghost Stories” and to be released on Netflix by the end of 2020. The creators are trying their best but success is yet a sour grape for them. The reason for this is there are very few audiences who watch regional web series. They are not still habituated to watch the content.
So, now a Telugu anthological series is being made based on “Lust Stories” and is the first-ever Netflix Original in Telugu. The theme was taken from Lust Stories and stories are going to be related to Telugu nativity and style. The news is that initially, it’s release was scheduled in July but post-production works are pending due to recent pandemic.
Coming to cast and crew, A capable lady director, Nandini Reddy who recently did magic with ‘Oh Baby’ is going to direct a segment starring Jagapathi Babu and Amala Paul in lead roles. Next, Sankalp Reddy who handled two complex scripts like Ghazi and Anthariksham to direct another segment and Eesha Rebba will be seen as a bold character in this. The other two segments are to be directed by ‘Pelli Choopulu’ fame Tarun Bhascker and ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The details of the other cast are yet to be revealed.
If this series becomes a success, it will pave way for many other web series in regional languages. It may be premiered in Netflix by the month of August or early September. Let’s hope it does well once it goes on air.
