The dust over the debacle of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger has not settled yet. The film was released last year in August after massive promotions and confident statements by Puri Jagannadh, Vijay Deverakonda, and Charmme. Unfortunately, the film couldn’t stand up the hype and emerged as the biggest failure of both Puri and Vijay’s careers.
Post the failure of Liger, the buyers, and Puri have been at loggerheads with buyers demanding compensation for their losses. Puri, on the other hand, wasn’t happy with this targeted harassment and even filed a police complaint against some buyers and exhibitors.
The complaint was made against Warangal Sreenu and G Shoban Babu for threatening violence against his family, and for wrongly accusing him of still owing money to them.
Now, in the latest development to this controversy, the buyers have gone on a protest at the Film Chamber seeking compensation for their massive losses. The Nizam buyers in particular are at the forefront of this protest and have gone on a relay hunger strike.
