Telangana State IT and Industries Minister KTR has made an interesting tweet on the Telugu cinema and the films being shot in the backdrop of the region. On this occasion, Minister KTR thanked the Chief Minister of the state (CM KCR) on Twitter. KTR said that he is thankful to KCR for reviving the cultural sector in Telangana state.
KTR said that Telangana accent was once ridiculed, now it gets the glory. With a lot of excitement, Kalvakuntla Taraka Ramarao shared the below mentioned screenshots in his tweet.
Dear Sir (addressing KTR).. I want to share two things with you. One of them.. I am very happy to share this with you. I am happy to see that movies are coming out now in Telangana dialect and they are getting amazing popularity. For example, movies like Balagam, Dasara. All this credit goes to KCR.
And the second thing is.. I am 68 years old.. I never imagined that such films would come. A person named Dr. Dande Sriramulu sent a message to KTR through WhatsApp saying that he has stopped going to movie theaters for the last 20 years because Telangana people are shown as villains and jokers in Telugu movies.
KTR responded to this message.. Sir can I tweet your opinion..? asked. KTR asked that also with your permission.. Sriramulu also responded positively. Sir.. I will feel very happy if you tweet. It is a testament to your goodness that you ask us. Thank you very much, sir, said Sriramulu.
The tweet of KTR has received a mixed response as few netizens felt happy for his appreciation of Telangana backdrop movies, others felt that his excitement was an unnecessary thing as he tried to boost his party and father’s image by using the success of the films like Balagam and Dasara.
