Kollywood Veteran Actor Kamal Haasan recently made controversial comments in the Audio Launch of his upcoming film, Thug Life. He opined that the language Kannada originated from Tamil, which caused a stir on social media platforms. Many Kannada Activists and Kannada Film Personalities decided to ban the film in Karnataka. The Actor has approached the High Court of Karnataka to allow the release in the state.
Karnataka High Court has reportedly come down heavily on the Actor for his statements. The Court questioned the Actor if he had been a historian or linguist to have passed on his opinion, also adding that he should have apologized to solve everything. This is not a response that the Actor wished from the Court.
Kamal Haasan has failed to understand the situation. He messed up things, refusing to apologize, and now, approaching the Court is pointless when people of Karnataka and Personalities of the Kannada Film Industry are unhappy. Now, he wrote a letter again to the Karnataka Film Chamber praising Kannada language and Karnataka without offering an apology, which looks senseless.
