‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan’s Thug Life is a massive project in Tamil cinema, primarily because it marks the reunion of the actor with the legendary Mani Rathnam after 25 years. With music composed by A. R. Rahman, it also stars Trisha and Jayam Ravi in key roles; the announcement teaser released a while ago has created a frenzy on the internet.
However, Dulquer Salmaan, who was signed to play a crucial role in this action drama film, had left the project citing date issues. According to the latest buzz, Silambarasan, popularly known as Simbu, has been roped in to play the role, or, in simple terms, as a replacement for Dulquer.
This will be the first time Simbu will be working with Hassan or Mani Rathnam. The highly controversial actor has made a grand comeback into the foray of commercial films with Venkat Prabhu’s sci-fi thriller Maanaadu (2021). Having said that, Simbu’s inclusion is certainly a plus for the project.
