Kamal Haasan’s Vikram was released in theatres on June 3rd and opened to record-breaking collections at the box office. The reports were unanimously positive and the collections only kept increasing with each passing day.
After a terrific opening weekend, the film showed no signs of stopping and the film went on to become the highest-grossing Tamil movie in the history of Tamil cinema.
On the occasion of the 15 years celebration of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, Stalin mentioned that Vikram is the highest-grossing film ever. Stalin was also a key part of the success of Vikram. He was responsible for distributing the film in Tamil Nadu.
It is only fair for Kamal Haasan that the highest-grossing film is under his name. For years now, Kamal has tirelessly worked for the betterment of cinema. He is responsible for some game-changing cinema over the years also. To add to that, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya’s terrific cameo also played a huge role in the success of Vikram.
After Vikram, Kamal Haasan will be looking to break his record with Shankar’s Indian 2. Udhayanidhi Stalin is also playing a crucial role as producer this time and he was also responsible for the film to go on set once again.
