KVN Productions, which has produced Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay, has moved the Supreme Court against the Madras HC Division Bench order that stayed the certification of the film, overturning an earlier single-judge nod for a U/A 16+ certificate.
The case is tentatively set for listing in the Supreme Court on January 19th . So the hearing will be next Monday only as of now . If everything goes well , the film might target a Republic weekend release. But if it delays further, it will move to an even later release date.
Fans again have some hope after learning that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan production house, KVN Productions , moved to the Supreme Court for the release. The fans have lashed out at the Censor Board for targeting their favorite hero’s film, while some industry professionals also came in support of the film.
