Jawan hits 500Cr in 1st weekend, fastest ever

Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan continued its stupendous run at the box office with shattering weekend numbers. Jawan has now broken all existing records in the history of Indian cinema and grossed a whopping Rs 500 crores in just four days.

As per early estimates, the 1st weekend gross is more than 530Cr. In India, the gross is around 345Cr and overseas the gross is around 185Cr. The film registered amazing Saturday- Sunday numbers even surpassing the opening day figures. Jawan not only recorded a massive opening-day collection but has registered the highest single-day collection on Sunday.  Even the weekday trends are looking quite positive with solid advance bookings projected for Monday.

Directed by Atlee, Jawan featured King Khan in a double role – an intelligence officer and a vigilante. The film was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Anirudh Ravichander composed for the film bankrolled by Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainments.
